Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

What a day, Arsenal and Chelsea have had a right mare.

Feels good to not have to be in that circus. Jose did well to complete 3/4 signings before the start of the season.

Sign two first teamers (even if I Lukaku is only meh to me), and don't waste 50m on Perisic when Griezmann will be available for around 80m next year, sounds good to me.

Great signing by Spurs. If we didn't re-sign Ibra, I would have liked to see him come to us.

Most exciting part of the day for me was the Ryan Babel to Newcastle wind up. Been a while since I heard the term Babelcopter.

and because it wouldn't be a day of the transfer window without a Chelsea loanee, here's todays:

I know. He's still a great singing though.

Don't think its that great for Spurs, tbh. But it's a good fee for us, and we have Bony back, so I'm happy enough. Might have been nice to get in Marcus Edwards in a loan, too, though.

He might have been a decent option. Better for him than playing for the Spurs U23s all season. He did get offers from the Championship and Netherlands but turned them down.

It will be a feisty and interesting window in January.

Thanks Arsenal and Chelsea for the great entertainment. Barca and Real too. Although, the latter two are significantly stronger than the first two.

I'm so glad this annual fiasco has ended.

Now I can finally have a fully charged cell phone all day.

So what happened, Lemar/Sanchez/Barkley deals are collapsed?

Sanchez was agreed between City/Arsenal but on the basis of Lemar signed for Arsenal. Apparently Monaco agreed a fee with Arsenal (92mil) but Lemar didn't want to move to Arsenal.

Barkley to Chelsea was a done deal between the clubs, he was having a medical and mid way through he changed his mind and went back to Everton.

I've missed all the action, Barkley wtf

I've heard rumours from a Spurs supporting mate that Everton refused to negotiate with Spurs (his preferred destination), and a last minute phone call from Levy convinced Barkley to wait until January for a move to Tottenham.
