There were a few on here who picked Dele if we could sign someone from our PL rivals.
Massively overrated footballer.
Massively overrated footballer.
Watching Dele Alli and all his "intelligent runs" after watching Isco ruin Italy is like going from a night with Mila Kunis to a night with well, Dele Alli.
Terrible performance at home against a weak opposition.
Can we just give Germany the World Cup already? Honestly, I can't see anyone beating them.
Nice comparisonProbably because we know what will happen as usual. We are the Arsenal of internal football.
???? Kane isn't a poacher and position means diddly when it comes to who's elite or not. Gerd Muller??Rashford isn't a good enough footballer to ever be truly elite. He'll be a useful player but he just doesn't quite have 'it'. Kane is a good poacher, good poachers don't qualify as elite. You put Harry Kane in the Barca or RM team, he sticks out like a sore thumb, wouldn't be able to link play well enough or provide the occasional bit of magic necessary. Put Rashford in the Barca or RM team, he'd stick out like a sore thumb, he'd combine moments of brilliance because of his pace with many frustrating moments where he doesn't use the ball well enough or makes the wrong decisions/wrong passes. Put Alli in there, he'd play at that level, imo.
I think you knew what I meant. Or maybe you feel managing the U21s to a group stage exit was grounds enough to land the England job?
My spelling wasn't. I am ashamed.Nice comparison![]()
But you will qualify with comfort and not being under pressure for the remaining 2 matches to know if you get the first or second place, would like to be on that position tbf.We know what we'll get. Qualify and then once we get to the world cup, we play shite and get kicked out early. Rinse and repeat.
If you don't demand they achieve the same as France, Brasil or Germany you will not suffer with expectations.Probably because we know what will happen as usual. We are the Arsenal of internal football.
We're not demanding this. However, we do expect them to beat Iceland (no disrespect to them). But you will qualify with comfort and not being under pressure for the remaining 2 matches to know if you get the first or second place, would like to be on that position tbf.

Not expecting them to win it. However the way they are portrayed by the press and in a way how some present themselves to the public I would expect them to be at least competitive. But you will qualify with comfort and not being under pressure for the remaining 2 matches to know if you get the first or second place, would like to be on that position tbf.

Hope the media actually pick up on it or will they just ignore it.Ref should have sent Ali off for that, the utter twat.
"Gavin, what was wrong with the England performance?"Christ, the quality of punditry on ITV is shocking.
"Gavin, what was wrong with the England performance?"
"It's all dem foriners playing for us, innit?"

Nobody actually knows who it was meant for.Why/Who did Alli flip off?

Ok, but the Iceland presented by your media or your fans knew is not the naive Iceland of 10 or 15 years ago, they developed well their youth football, sure England has to beat Iceland, but knowing it should not be easy to beat a team who put Holland out of the Euros, and by the way created a lot of problems to Portugal, Hungary or Austria. We're not demanding this. However, we do expect them to beat Iceland (no disrespect to them).
This time they will not do it.Ironically, the expectation is always there. I meant they may not expect to win the tournament, but there is always a superior attitude against smaller countries that leading to some embarassment in the tournament regardless.
This the worst England side in recent years, imo. They are even struggling to qualify, while they are usually good at it.

No it isn't, they failed to qualify in 2008,1994, there is always a impression portrayed this is the worst England of all time, reality is that they had the same or even worst level teams in other tournaments. This the worst England side in recent years, imo. The Ref.Why/Who did Alli flip off?
No I'm not saying it should be easy to beat Iceland. I don't believe you should underestimate any opponent. However our performance in that match was beyond inept. Our players and coaching staff should have been capable of doing much more (win or lose), and this is the problem. You know we should do better, but it's all bluster and nonsense and nothing seems to change. This is why a lot of fans have lost faith and expect nothing but crap once we get to the world cup.But that is exactly the problem, your media first demands them to get the same results as the best teams, then they qualify easily and then they demand England to dominate every opponent when atm you don't have the same individual quality as France, Brasil or Germany, those are the 3 teams that should be under pressure.

You had done better in the last years, tbh. It's funny because you are supposed to be full of very good players these days.Eh, five points clear, undefeated with 3 goals conceded. This is not a hard Q canpaign.
