Shittiest performance to get a 4-0.

1st half, 1 clear cut chance created.

2nd half, no clear cut chance created up to minute 80.

From about 60 on with the Herrera substitution we seemed to be playing out for a 1-0 game then Everton manage to gift us 3 goals.

Crazy match really.

Great win but today shows why we cant rely on Fellaini from the off. Herrera has to be a starter with Pogba.

You saw how we started to get some control back after Herrera came on. A must going forward.

I think you mean Matic.

Totally undeserved scoreline. We were terrible in attack.

Can't imagine I'm saying that on 4-0 win but very tough match and the result is flattening us somewhat. Some players deserved to be criticized heavily tbh. I felt Arrogance is finding its way to some players minds that they feel they're Messi or so.

Mikhi great goal but ffs stop trying to make a nutmeg every ball. I'm fine with losing possession but that's absolute BS. Trying to keep the ball in his legs and doing a nutmeg till a counter is done on us. Rashford ffs stop trying to do a dribble every time till the ball is lost. There's option called passing.

De Gea for me is the best today, kept us in the game and without him would have been another 1-1 draw, followed by Lukaku.

Glad we showed a killer instinct after we toiled for that 2nd goal. We need to improve and we miss Pogba. Anyway, am too happy with the win to complain. On to the next game.

Joint top with City as well - same points and goal difference. We just need to stay in touch.

We could have buried it in the first half in those first 20 mins. After that gash for the most part. Both Rashford and Lingard were useless today.

Matic, what a brilliant signing. Have to hold my hands up and say I wasn't sure about him but he is proving all his doubters wrong. Fellaini solid. Bailly dodgy again, maybe he needs to be dropped. Lukaku scored but poor hold up from him and great from Martial to score again.

End result makes it look easy, but it was everything but. DDG had to save the day yet again on couple of occasions, best GK in the world. Tough call between DDG and Matić for MOTM, fantastic cameo by Martial yet again. Another 3 pts is what's matters.

GGMU!

Ref was absolute dogshit today. Let Everton foul us in midfield constantly. Great win considering we appeared to be having "one of those games" in attack until near the end.

Last year after a miss like Lukaku had Everton would have pulled level and it would have ended 1-1.

Nice scoreline but imo, bad performance. Decision making in the final third is rather bad.

Rashford dwells on the ball way too much and always tries to beat 2-3 players. Mkhi dwells on the ball too and releases them too late, loses possession cheaply as well. I've no idea why do we play Lingard and i've no idea what good is he at, attacking wise. He can't really dribble, can't shoot, can't cross.

Lukaku on the other hand, was pretty sweet with that pass to Mkhi when he could have blasted it goal wards.

Lets us all be honest... We were all wondering when a player of non african descent would score for United  .... Today was the day...

Lukaku missed a sitter, but great assist and goal.

I know the chances are so slim it's not even worth considering, but what if 2 sides finished the season with identical records, points, wins goals? Is there a rule or nah?

A match we deserved to draw due to crap ambition and generally lazy skill throughout.

Playoff

This is the sort of game we'd of drawn last year.

Great result.

Was so happy we turned it on in the last 10. I missed the first 15 minutes of the game, then had to put up with a poor performance and the commentators constantly referring to how good we looked in those first 15 minutes. Grrrr.

 Unreal. 2nd time this season I've left home after the 80th minute with us up 1-0 to go to our football staff meetings to then get on here and see I missed 2 or 3 goals.

I'll take it though!

We had some great performances last season where we played brilliantly and drew 1-1. I'd take today's terrible performance with the 4-0 scoreline over them any day of the week.

We were all calling for Martial at HT bu Jose didn't want to bring Martial on too early...was just waiting for Everton to Traveller themselves out first. Genius!

Turned very scrappy most of that second half but we were obviously the deserved winners. After the 2nd goal went in they just stopped but credit to us for killing them off. What we've lacked for a long time, even with Fergie (hence goal difference burning us a few times).

Rashford was wank, fullbacks and matic were terrific.

Herrera should have started. I'm a fan of Fellaini but his lack of mobility was glaring in the 2nd half. They started strolling through our midfield with ease until they reached Matic. We had a lot more control when he came on.

Seems weird to moan when we won 4-0, but we shoed their backline too much respect. Williams and Jagielka are awful on the ball, and Pickford's kicking is really poor when he's pressed. We didn't press them enough. The few times we did gifted us with a clear chance (Lukaku one on one, Mkhi's goal, Mata's foul and subsequent freekick on the edge of the box).

De Gea and Matic were superb today. Faultless. Young was excellent in the first half too. Looked knackered in the 2nd.

 No way were we 4-0 good. The second half was crap. So ponderous.

De Gea was immense. Matic was great. Young and Valencia were good.

We might "not have been 4-0 good" today but this team is 4-0 good. We've got a set of players who can punish the opposition with a few half chances. We're going to have plenty of matches like today with scorelines that "flatter us" because we have players that can put games to bed.

Matic MOTM for me. our midfield super engine.
well, not our best performance but 4 goals make me smile & happy.

Cannot agree more. He's been immense and the few occasions the ball does not stick to his foot, he can recover with those long limbs of his. What a buy he's turning out to be.

Very difficult to criticise a 4-0 scoreline but we were dire in the second half until that second goal. I guess we just have quality.

1-0 up in the 80th minute last season, we would have bought on a defensive sub, the opposition would have gained in confidence and start pushing forward more, normally resulting in a 1 - 1.

1 - 0 in the 80th minute this season, the opposition start gaining confidence and pushing forward, we bring on Martial or Rashford and batter them on the counter. The difference

We were shite for almost 80 minutes, but then we end up winning 4-0

Haha did you hear Lingard ask Lukaku ' How many goals did you score? ' LOL. He's playing the bloody game... how does he not know this hehe :)

Lingard: How many goals did you score?
Lukaku: One, but I got one assist too.
Lingard: I got an assist too

Shakes hand and goes into the tunnel.

Result obviously doesn't reflect the match - but we can't complain after 4-0 and joint 1st.

Happy days! Roll on EFL.

Should've killed the game in the first half. We 2-0 up, Everton wouldn't have much belief.

Good result in the end, and we the exception of last week, we managed again to raise the level late in the game.
