Giving players nicknames or using their first name like you know them and they're your best mate is one of the worst things Liverpool fans do.

They do it for media outlets too. Sly Sports is a common one, sad as feck.

The Scum is the only one I can abide by because it's 100% factual unlike the actual rag.

Adding YAWN to the end of everything is the worst though.

deserves a YAWN
Many clubs including Manure would give anything to have Klopp as a Manager. We should not forget that we have 3 world class assets at our club, the fanbase, Coutinho and Klopp.

arguing for the allowance of differing points of view

I will stand against you or anyone else who calls for the banning of people just because they disagree with you on your favoured opinions.

In which case you should be banned as well.

That's a work of art!

Most United fans do the exact same, don't they?

Alberto - Albie

Antonio/Anthony - Tony

Milner - Millie

Mkhitaryan - Mkhi/Mickey.

Pet/nick names for players are cringey full stop.
Surely anyone who has played or attended a game of football can appreciate the need to abbreviate names? For example, phrases like "Gissit Giggsy" "Wide Tony! Wide!" "Skin him Mhki!" work better in terms of cadence than "Giggs" "Martial/Valencia" and "Mkhitaryan" which don't really roll off the tongue or suit the average pace of most phases of play. Of course that doesn't justify the overfamiliarity or laziness of some fans (especially RAWKites) who go on like they're mates with the players or can't be arsed to spell a player's name correctly in five paragraph long forum posts but that's context for you. For example...

Yeah, no-one can remember how to spell Mikhi's full name and the spelling nazis always come out in force if you mess it up, so that one's fair enough.

...reads like plain laziness. We're on a forum so that post either came from a smartphone or tablet which allow you add words like Mkhitaryan to your dictionary in a matter or seconds or on a computer which allows you to do the same as well as giving you the option to Google, copy and paste a name in a matter of seconds too.

Just seen this one on there:

"United can enjoy this little run, but they know what is coming on October 14th."

We. Are. Scared. Lads.
They will raise their game for this one as it looks like the only thing they could brag about after the season finishes..

...nah, you're alright.

I'm too lazy for that.

From the OP of RAWK's Liverpool-Leicester match thread :wenger::lol:
So, obviously went to the cup game last night. As usual sat with the Leicester fans, as I do. And a couple of things absolutely summed up modern football fans for me, and why I'm really starting to actually hate it. One of them was the 'Have you ever seen Gerrard win the league' chant. You're Leicester City, do you have any idea how moronic it is for a club who has won less than Steven Gerrard during your whole existence to be mocking him for not winning a particular trophy...? You're not our rivals. You cant force a rivalry. Banter right? fecking banter...

Onto this Saturday then, and yeah we do need to win. Mainly to make sure we don't drop too far from our rivals. Not because there's pressure on Klopp, because there isn't. Lets just be clear on this, there isn't. Our owners get enough stick, but they're not even going to consider sacking a manager like Klopp for a long time yet. There isn't a crisis. Its a series of games where through a mixture of luck and confidence, we haven't won. We could very, very easily have won them all. And yes, I realise how daft that sounds considering we lost one of them 5-0 but I'm going with it.

This is how our manager does things. He has made it CRYSTAL clear, he'll try and sort things on the training ground first. We can go over, time and again, why we didn't sign a CB. Its done. What we need to do now is EVERYONE get behind the team, the players and the manager. If you're not happy with that, if you're not happy with a manager who will focus on coaching first before making big signings, then really honestly you need to take a step back and think about what you do want in a manager. This is what we asked for. This is who we asked for. We have him, he's doing well. He's got us back in the CL, he's improved pretty much every player since he arrived. We're on an upwards trajectory.

If you (and if you think I'm talking about you, then I am) have any influence over this man not getting enough time and patience to complete his job here, then you can take FULL responsibility for it.

It's a fan base that is so insecure abut themselves and their clubs achievements that they obsess about us.

I went to my first game when I was three, I'm 57 now and the only time I've seen United lift a trophy was in 68...unlike most of United's Liverpool obsessed fan base I'm not remotely interested in United apart from when we play them...completely inconsequential....like every other club that isn't Liverpool.

I think they see us and wish they had what we have as a support....green and gold scarves versus walk outs and internet terrorism...they achieved nothing, we...a community, a strong, able community.

Sad, insecure childish, bastards.

As he posts in a thread dedicated to United.

I love how last year they were going to win the league, were top around Christmas and finished fourth but yet Klopp is still seen as having made some kind of difference. They still aren't anywhere near the level Brendan Rogers had them in 2013. Klopp is basically an angry Kevin Keegan.

Find it quite amusing that they've labelled us a racist club over this Lukaku chant, despite the club releasing two statements condemning the chants and taking steps to combat it by requesting CCTV footage from Southampton.

Meanwhile, their club wore shirts supporting Suarez after he'd made derogatory comments to Evra :wenger:.

There was this Liverpool fan on 606 at the weekend saying how stressful it is watching Liverpool and he didn't know if he heart could take much more. Then he told, almost with glee, how he lost his brother who died of a heart attack watching Liverpool a few years ago. :wenger:

And booed Evra which is puzzling and suggests they think he was guilty and made Suarez do what he did.

Only three clubs have conceded more goals than Liverpool this season.

True; that 6-0 capitulation to Man City is a big reason for that though; without it, they'd have conceded 5, the same as Spurs and Chelsea. Lies, damn lies and statistics...

So you're saying "if they'd conceded fewer goals they would have conceded fewer goals."?

I think he is really saying that if other teams hadn't scored so many against us we would have conceded fewer: a crucial distinction. Also, if you look at the statistics over the past quarter of a century the only reason we haven't been champions has been the amounts of points amassed by our title-winning rivals in each of those seasons. Without those other teams gaining more points than us how many times might LFC have been champions? Once you start to look at things with this more nuanced analysis you start to realise we are actually a much better team than we actually are, and those who think we're not as good as we think we are need to think again: we are as good - if not better - than they think we think we are.

I've just read in the United thread on there that Suarez is part black and his grandmother used to refer to Suarez as the word he used against Evea, so it's okay.

Liverpool's game tomorrow isn't being shown on the Irish channel with the rights for Tuesday night games and they're all raging about it.

One says: "This wouldn't happen to United!"

Err... exactly. Some teams are too big not to show, mate.

pretty honest appraisal from the HT match thread after what is reckoned to be a Karius mistake tonight
We haven't had a keeper who actually saves stuff since Reina and even he forgot how to do that in his last couple of seasons.

probably has to post there because both goalkeepers have had their threads locked already, :D
