It's weird, results wise Cuper can be considered the third most successful manager in our history, but we're playing terrible football on the pitch that I don't even know how we get these results.

Their last WC was Italia 90 where they were on the same group as England, Ireland and Netherlands, actually they only lost 1 game, don't know if it was England or Netherlands.
We qualified twice before, one in 1934 which no one remembers it anyway

Cheers. Congrats. 1990 was my first World Cup. It seemed magical as an 8 year old. I was surprised when I learnt years later that it was considered pretty dull.
One of your players on that team played in Portugal for Beira Mar at the time, I think it was a midfielder named Abdelghani.
Yep. Magdi Abdelghani, played a part of his career in Portugal. He scored our only goal in this tournament, a penalty against Netherlands in a 1-1 draw.

Believe me I was 10 almost 11 and if I wasn't a kid on that time I wouldn't watch that tournament again.
The only 2 great teams on the tournament were Italy or Germany, worst Brasil I can remember, Argentina was so bad only a 50% Maradona, Cannigia and Goicochea made it possible for them to make the final, and the only good game England played was the semifinal vs Germany where surprise surprise they lost on penalties, and only won 1 match in 90 minutes.
I wonder who got inspired on that in 2016?

Forgot to mention Cameroon with veteran Roger Milla was one of the atractions in the tournament, the next WC USA 94 was much better, only the final between Brasil vs Italy was boring.Mabrook ya shabab from KSA. About time too!

Congratulations to Egypt. First time they have qualified for the world cup since 1990. I live in Cairo and I can say it's absolutely crazy here. I can't imagine how it would be if they somehow won the world cup!

Tislam habibi. We have the worst team in ages. How we managed to qualify I have no idea. I just hope we avoid Germany, they have a habit of hitting at least 6 past us. England on the other hand have failed to beat us in 2 internationals. Sorry guys couldn't resist it .Thanks mate, and congrats for reaching WC earlier, too.
