World Cup Qualifiers | October 2017 | Play off draw on Tuesday

That's the norm. Same in that frontpage: referring back to the Jara-Cavani incident they celebrated beating us in the qualifiers stating "we fingered Uruguay's bum and are going to Russia through a tube" (essentially on the fastrack with nothing standing on their way). Uh oh...
Ok got it, didn't liked the way some of their media were arrogant about us, we know we don't play the best football in the World, but they are not France, Brasil or Germany neither, just that, nothing personal against Chileans. Congratulations to Uruguay.

First WC for Panama.
Good for them. They fought for it. I'm not all that upset with USA being eliminated. Howard, Beasley, and Bradley need to retire. The rest need chucked out. Pulisic is only good player for the future and sadly he has to wait another 4 years.

All I'm going to hear in the States now is how nobody cares about the sport anyway.

I thought that diesease only in North America and Europe, anyway I posted before it was well done to some arrogant elements on the Chilean media, nothing to do with Chilean people or players tbh.

Nah, here in Chile the Media has the majority of the population under a spell of numb stupidity too. Reality's, soap operas, sensationalist and fake news, showbiz, Netflix, u name it...

Sport media is a disgrace as you say, clueless and arrogant.

@antohan  come on, that's a funny cover.

No Panama gets the playoff spot.

USA and Chile are out. Which would have seemed crazy even a year ago
At least no USA vs Russia drama this Summer, Donald Trump is a "pé frio", like we say in Portugal.

Everyone: USA didn't qualify!

Me:

I feel bad for Pulisic, kid carried this team the whole campaign. Yedlin showed something as well but everyone else, including the staff has been abysmal. Absolute embarrassment. Happy for Panama, they got absolutely screwed when the US saved Mexico for 2014

Actually I don't mix people with press, in Portugal our media is not very reliable to say the least, actually I like Pizzi, don't know if Chileans are so happy with him today, regarding the baffoon coming I thought looking from the outside everything was safe with Bachelet.

When you see the reactions of the players from places like Panama, you know there is still nothing bigger than the World Cup, no matter how hard the EPL or UCL work to make you believe otherwise.

The US needs this wake up call, and they would have gotten smashed in the group-stage as a final pot team. Sucks for Pulisic but he'll be 24 when 2022 rolls around.

I will try to remember this week the next time I complain about International Breaks. It has been fantastic this week.

Michael Bradley is the worst ball-playing midfielder I have seen in my life. 30 meter dribblers to unmoving (with their backs turned), well-guarded players when he’s the last MF back.

They finally get a legitimate up and coming star(Pulisic) on the team and miss out. He had a 60 minute primetime expose and misses out. The US was getting interesting mainly because of him. Keeeerist.

Poor Alexis. Couldn't get out of Arsenal and now this. What happened to this Chile team needs to be studied. How the hell they went from serial winners to this ? They just had a pretty good confederations cup...

The level is higher in Uefa Champions League, particularly on the knockout stages, but nothing gives me more emotion than watching my country, only sometimes my club.

Ha ha ha feck off team USA. This is what you get for mocking our stadium. River back to the USA.

I can see the funny side now.

Actually at the Confederation Cups they only beat Australia in 90 minutes, they were not at the same level as they were on the last 2 Copa America imo.

Probably have some help, too. McKennie has become a starter in defensive/central midfield for Schalke at age 19 and that´s their biggest need. Bradley fell off a cliff. Maybe it was the pasta in Italy. He´s a ghost nowadays.
