Funny thing that football is about goals. And yet Sweden is the negative team here. Italy played shite. How can that be called fun football? Boring as hell and played 5 defenders even at home (but some call it the sexier 3-5-2 but it's 5 at the back)
I can't even imagine a World Cup sucking. It's going to be brilliant as always.
Italy have won 1 game in their last 2 World Cups. Why are people said that they haven't qualified? They've probably been one of the most negative sides at each major tournament for the past decade and have been relying too much on their now ageing defense, not only to keep a clean sheet but also to score the goals. Sucks for Buffon and for the Italians but impartials shouldn't be bummed about this.
Too fecking bad. To go you have win. Italy did not. Sweden did. Guess who is more deserving......not Italy for sure.
History means feck all regarding who should qualify.
A shame a team that scored more goals than Italy and played in a tougher group gets shit upon for being "hard working nobodies."

So in other words, over 810 minutes of WC Playoff football there have been only 2 goals that were scored through "tactical" open play and passing. 5 either scrappy, jammy or completely gifted goals.

Based on the entire qualifying process Sweden fully deserves to be in the WC, period.

Ventura was a car crash. Undid all the good work Conte achieved. Feck, Conte was a genius to knock out Spain and Belgium in the Euros with this crop of players.
Honestly think you could have picked a random car user and they would have been a better manager for Italy.
Buffon...and the title of that video, It was clear that they were bringing out all the stops to rile up the Swedes.
I felt then and there that I wouldn't be sorry for Buffon's sake that he's missing out on the world cup, disgraceful thing to do.

He's been around the block enough to know that booing your rivals national anthem during a world cup qualifier will just spur them on. I think there's been quite a few examples where he's applauded the opposing teams national anthem. Might have been at the Euro's in France?
It appears that Jakob Johansson has torn his ACL, would be a shame if he misses the finals.
