Premier League Gameweek 18 (16th - 18th December 2017)

They're genuinely playing at two different speeds. Spurs are like when your FIFA starts to lag.

Biggest difference with City this season is that they've eliminated unforced errors from their play.

Spurs have really declined. Without Kane in perfect form they're really underwhelming.

They look an infinitely better football team Eriksen is on song. He was outstanding at the start of the season but since then his form has been sporadic at best, much like Spurs in general this season.

Difference is that they planned for Guardiola all along, and bought accordingly. We had dithering Dave and LvG the dinosaur handling our affairs, starting fresh over every time.
I get that, doesn't make it any less annoying though. Specially when my mates who support other clubs have a go at how much we've spent and how little has paid off.

Imagine in the summer when city buy Kane to add to Van Dyke who they will buy in January.

Another 200 million spent, but still sky will talk about them as if they'd built their side on a shoestring budget.

I actually think this City side would give the 2009 Barcelona team a good run for their money in a hypothetical contest, of course you have to say Pep's Barcelona are better for what they achieved but i would rank this City side better than Pep's Bayern, i'd rank Pep's teams (so far) as:-

1) Barcelona
2) City
3) Bayern

They're definitely better than his Bayern side and by a mile too. That Bayern wasn't suited much for Pep's style imo.

Mou’s tactics dont seem so bad now tbh. Trying to out football this team requires well, more than Smalling amd Herrera.

No booking while facing up the ref and telling him to feck off, what is this?

City are the most incredible PL side I've seen. Utterly relentless. The pace and quality of their play is incredible to watch. The way they hunt in packs and give the opposition nothing. Never seen anything like it in England.

They're making Spurs look like Sunderland.

Go post on blue moon you fool.

One thing I never let bother me is people talking about our spending. United's money is earned, not won at the lottery.

We've had shit returns for our spending though, that much is true.

Put De Bruyne in our team and we're 11 points clear of them instead.

You're having a laugh if you think that this form is just due to putting players on the pitch.

Tottenham are a very good side. Yet they have looked utterly useless against a defense containing Mangala, Delph and Otamendi, and a midfield with Silva missing. It's no coincidence that they've made Chelsea, Liverpool and us look like mugs as well.

Here's a bitter fact. They are top of the league because they are being managed by the best managers in the league.

They didn't seem bad in the game either, we lost with two fluke goals.

Nothing makes me more irrationally angry in football than watching Raheem Sterling run around with his floppy t-rex arms and goofy stride.

There is being bitter and calling them an oil club, and then there is this other end of the spectrum. Everything in moderation, ffs.

Fernandinho has become so much better this year with his passing. That pass to Aguero was great.

It makes it infinitely more annoying for me. The fact that the board and ownership at this club still doesn't understand how badly we've been set behind by the inherent weakness of this structure means we're just doomed to keep repeating the cycle with our managers until the board pull their heads out of their arses or until we miraculously stumble across the next SAF.

Unless someone stops Celtic, it won't happen. Who would we go for? They just won't take the risk on an up and coming manager again. British or foreign.

That's when they were scoring 5,6,7 goals a game as well.

When Evra declined/left, I saw how important a world class fullback is, and City are proving it again. Money no option, go and sign the best available.
They've been doing that for years though tbf, Silva playing in Milner/Zabaleta for overlaps and cut backs was a constant theme of their play. It's just gone to a different level.

Such a save by rose. Better keeper than Lloris.

only 2min of added time? Wasn't Kane lying on the floor for at least 3min?

Pep has clearly brought his medical team to City with him......these energy levels are relentless.
