Zinedine Zidane | Resigns

The cost of this has Hyper inflated and madrid barcelona psg city sowed the seeds of it without realizing the effect in the future.

Psg ,city dont even care but its now a problem for other clubs.
They would have cared if UEFA and FIFA put proper sanctions in place to prevent transfer madness.

It's a sorry state of affairs. Clubs are just state sponsored now.

His loyalty to Benzema could become his downfall.
Most madridistas (myself included) really want to give him time even if this season doesn't go well but his love affair with Benzemalo is causing us to go insane. I want ZZ out, just for the benzema thing

Feel sorry for him.

There's no danger we'd sack a manager who won 2 European cups back to back.

A ridiculous club.

Falling far behind Barca in the league now, wonder how long he'll last.

They'd be stupid to sack him. Until Messi's at Barca, they should be content with 1 in 5 La Ligas. The CL and Copa is where they can do the real damage.

Casemiro has become a problem, he acts like a balance for an on fire Modric and Kroos but when they're off form he struggles to add anything special to the side.
You simply couldn't dribbble past him last year but now there's gaps all over the place. He has more to cover and he's struggling to adapt.

He'll be gone, it's just a question of when. And what manager they will go after.

Pochettino, Ancelotti, Blanc, Jardim are the bookies favs atm. Would it really be worth sacking Zidane for either of them?

Surely he's earned the right to see out the season.

Pochettino definitely would be IMO.

Brilliant manager and once he starts winning things, he won't stop.

It would help also if he didn't play so high. He lost the ball in a stupidly advanced position for one of Barca's goals

Sounds like the modern football "fan"
Sounds like half the cafe wanting mourinho out every time he does a defensive match against the big 6

meanwhile Zidane is doing a Moyes this year and insulting everyone by fielding Benzema every game.

I love how you fools always act with the moral high ground because you had Ferguson for 25 years, of course if you have the best manager of all time you don't want him out. Meanwhile your "confidence" record in managers in the post ferguson era hasn't been that great

Really poor game management today, the subs should have been made after Barca scored their first.

He should not get sacked, but to be out of the league this soon with the squad he has is very poor, it shouldn't happen.

Just for laughs, should his real departure coincide with a mourinho departure would folk consider him here? Or did he just inherit a perfect storm at real

I wouldn't want him personally. I don't think he's all that. Sometimes competent managers just win things, see Luis Enrique and the treble.

Fools he says after admitting he wants a back to back UCL manager sacked not to mention that manager is a club legend.

You can't have a transferwindow like they had and expect to perform the same as last season.

Now we gonna see the real challenge for Zizou as a manager - how to fix things when they went wrong. How he gonna handle with the situation now would be the real sign what kind of manager is he actually.

Yeah, but when offered the thought of having him in United the next season, nobody wants him :lol::lol: hypocrites

just some posts above you

so, if Mou leaves United, would you want ZZ to replace him? most likely not. When he's managing Madrid he's a premier coach in everyone's mind but if there were a possibility to sign him for your club, you immediately perceive him for the average, lucky man he is. A luckier Di Matteo, he's been clueless all season long and when I say he's doing a Moyes, I say it literally since he has no gameplan other than endless long-balls to the penalty area.

Sometimes I wonder what is more important, a top manager or set of top players? I would take the latter. Not taking anything away fron Zidane as a manager but would he have been this successful or even 70% of what he achieved at Madrid if we was our manager. I really doubt.

Why's he so reluctact playing Mayoral and Ceballos?
Now it's the time to give the youngsters a chance in the league. If he's still keeping playing the same ineffectual guys when the league is lost, then it proves he's beyond clueless

Madrid been a bit complacent in the summer transfer window, but even I didn't think they would be this underwhelming.

Still Zidane should not be sacked, not after what he's achieved so far. However, he'll have to get over his Benzema love affair. Unlike at United, I'm almost sure Madrid's main man Perez will intervene, and Benzema will either be permanently relegated to the bench, or end up leaving.

Funny, you looked better playing with 10 men and when Asensio and Bale came on.

Very true..

Not in my mind :nono:

I said last season that he would need to show a high level at another club for me to consider him a top manager. I was ridiculed for doubting a 'world class' manager.

Managing Real Madrid or Barcelona does funny things to a manager; their win percentage goes through the roof and the quality of players they have can mask over tactical limitations. Messi and Ronaldo allow managers to work under different rules to everyone else as well.

Depends. For smaller clubs who are likely to have a team made up of average players, the manager. Burnley are better than Swansea because Dyche is better than Clement. For top clubs, those that aim to win trophies, it's the players. It's not even a question

If Mourinho leaves id decide at the time. I dont want JM to leave and I think ZZ deserves more time at that circus of a club considering what he has done for them.
