On certain internet forums, I have seen some posters engage in heated arguments, and never stop posting until they have the last word, even if it is irrelevant. Sort of like an OCD.

Conte is a mini-Jose himself when he is pissed off though - tactless minus the dry wit. He started this by trying to rub it in when Chelsea beat us 4-0. Jose has been holding himself back for awhile, even made peace with Wenger and Guardiola, his pet hates. But Conte made it more difficult for him.
Conte is looking daft. Jose dropping soundbytes with a grin while Conte is explaining and complaining on and on with paragraphs. It's weak and desperate. He's rattled.

Also you can be short but still 'big(ish)', kinda. Like, say, Rooney in football, or Tevez is shorter still but would defo pack a wallop (look at his tree-trunk neck).
Then you have someone like Herrera, who's around 6'0 but is decidedly flimsy compared to the above examples.

Don't know if he's rattled. Judging by the way he reacted when this scandal was going during his time in Italy, I would say yes. But, one thing is sure, he is thick as you can be as a high profile manager starting an argument in which nobody mentioned your name in the first place.
He is definitely rattled about something and involved himself in this wilfully. As he said recently he is ready to fight for his team and is spoiling for an argument with Mourinho and Wenger.

Jeez, he is digging himself into a hole by the minute. Mourinho cleverly admitted he has made bad mistakes in the past, so there is no point bringing the Ranieri controversy up now. Especially when it happened so long ago.
Conte can't beat Jose at this, he has it down to a science.

I'm going to cut him a bit of slack because English is a new language for him. He has never particularly come across confident in addressing the English media who are conniving and shallow in stirring shit. Did he get baited? Absolute. It was a leading question but I'd blame the media manager sat by him who let it go by.
The media are playing Conte like a fiddle. He really needs to shut up.
I think this is all clever motivational psychology from Jose. He's refocussing the players and fans on the battle for 2nd and to stop obssessing and comparing with City. Its more motivating to focus on a team that you can fight than.on one that has already won. Might explain the renewed fight about the team. They seem to have stopped moping.

And thats why Conte's response looks even more idiotic. He played right into the hands of the media. He could have just refused to comment on Jose's clown remark considering he never mentioned his name. Conte looks disturbed with each week, first saying I do not have any say on the transfers to not even looking interested in talking good about Barkley to having an unnecessary altercation with Jose.
