That will be because there won't be so many people dedicated to put him down as time goes on rather than his stats. His stats won't even look that impressive compared to other forwards given the matches he played as a winger at the start of his career.

Plus he is already an all time great. Is he the best ever? Not for me but he was monstrous in his prime and only a prime Messi who is arguably the best attacking force the game has ever seen made people take him for granted.

You should show where Ronaldo is in stats per game in La Liga not just goals to fit your purpose.
I am sure if you include goals, assists, chances created, shot conversion, successful passes, successful dribbles, he won’t be anywhere near the top.
People should try not to let goals mask his poor performances this season. He hasn’t been great tbh.

I stopped caring long ago about his overall performance so long as he keeps scoring he’s a sporting freak.
I don't think honestly nobody can say he is doing a great season, but his poor performances with 33 are better than some exciting performances by players with 23.
If he scores on Wednesday he'll be the first player ever to score 100 Champions League goals for a single club, and that's exactly why he will score on Wednesday.
His overall performance being poor is part of the reason why Real Madrid are so far behind Barcelona and Athletico.

Last season for a lot of people here all he did was score goals and now the same people are saying he's declined massively when he's in fact scoring more... He should be criticized and I've said it myself this is his worse season in over a decade but the criticism he's been getting has obviously been way overblown by people here who don't like him. Which is normal because it's Ronaldo but it still needs pointing out.
The number of goals or assists he ends up with won't matter much, all it matters is being at his best in the Champions League and in the World Cup.
He is 33 years old, more than expected he cannot keep those numbers forever.
I think no one can deny he's declining fast in terms of performances, but no one can question his scoring stats too, he still among the very top in terms of scoring goals (so far 23 goals this season overall, leading top scorer in CL), although he is not as consistent.
