Premier League Gameweek 29 (3rd - 5th March 2018)

Of course he will. Liverpool aren't winning any trophies so of course he'll go. Just like Kane at Tottenham.

They are the closest challengers to City and will only improve next year. He obviously won't be leaving in the summer

Salah is a good player but the terrible defending from PL teams makes it so easy on him. He is their best player so why is he always finding space behind their LB ?
This. Mourinho will show the PL how to stop him next week I'm sure. Don't forget we are one of the only teams Salah hasn't scored against. He was made to look very innaffective in the Anfield game.

Yeah by putting ten men behind the ball.

I think a cabbage should be number one over Mignolet. But Karius has only just started getting the nod hasn't he?

Yeah only recently, Mignolet has been given more trust than anyone as shitty as him should ever be given, but a series of mistakes that was extraordinary even for his standards finally placed him on the bench.

Completely agree. I thought Ronaldo was overrated too when he was breaking records. The defences innit.:lol:
Salah isn't even fit to lace Ronaldo's boots so I'm not sure of the comparison:rolleyes:

Ronaldo improved from season to season for us even though he was labelled a one trick pony, he then went on to break record after record. I don't see that with Salah;good player though he is

Salah is good but why Liverpool are so dangerous now is because Klopp knows how to find attacking players for his system. If they werent a stepping stone club and held on to their players they may have challenged City this season.
Their defending will always let them down.

It doesn't matter whether they are challengers or not. They aren't in the conversation for the biggest honours and if that is Salah's aim he'll leave maybe not this summer of course but in the near future. Just like his predecessors Suarez, Coutinho and others.

Torres?Alonso?

yeah this won't come back and bite you in the arse at all.

It's sad that when you are playing a game, you are on a rival club's forum trying to criticize their playing style. Also, they are a place above your club in the league table.

Inevitable. All Newcastle do is give the ball away.

Not right now

You think Liverpool are City's closest challengers?
Based on temporarily hitting 2nd for a short time?

It happens though when players just come into the PL. Start off flying, confidence flowing. Their own self belief etc. Come the second season, teams will set up differently, he will feel he has to match the previous season( which will count for feck all) etc. An injury may take place.

There might even be the inevitable bid or link from Spain

A load of factors may affect his performance
I agree he might have second season syndrome or he might get an injury, but if teams could set up differently against him now there's literally no reason why they wouldn't be.

I like how there is this assumption that Liverpool are anywhere near City, it's a bit like Spurs being 'the best footballing team in the past 3 years'. Just repeat it enough times and it'll become fact.

Dwight Gayle must have been involved in some sort of face swap with a geriatric man.

Explain this one please

I'd actually misread his post as meaning Tottenham were their nearest challengers at first, probably due to his certainty that they would improve next year.
There's no guarantee Salah will be so red hot next year. There's a reason people talk of 2nd season.

Sometimes defenders are occupied by Firmino.
Put a player on him to man mark closely in the game, he's a great player so you have to do your best to limit him. At the moment it's like he's being treated like a normal player whereas he's one of the best in the league, arguably the best.

You really think managers and players are thinking that they go up against him?
