Premier League Gameweek 29 (3rd - 5th March 2018)

Simeone is the right manager for a soft club like Arsenal. A few years of hard-as-nails, ugly but effective football with emphasis on defending and mentality is what they need.

But I don't think Simeone will leave Atleti to join Arsenal. If they hire Rodgers, it will basically be more of the same.
Rodgers will be good for them as long as he's viewed as someone who can bridge the gap to the next manager, provided they want to continue with the same footballing philosophy so to speak.
If they're expecting immediate results and trophies with Rodgers then they're setting themselves up to fail. It's a good move for him too on paper but I can't help but feel the timing is off.

Why on earth would you parade the carabao cup? Such a small club aren't they?

He's been missing since half time at Old Trafford, he was last seen chasing Paul Pogba to no avail.

:D

It really won't be the same for them without Kante. Who's been in poor form for a little while now anyway.

""That was a typical Arsenal performance. They had 68 per cent of the ball today, so between box to box they dominated the ball, they are on the front foot all the time. "But in the two important areas, the box you defend in and the box you have to be brave and attack things, they came up short. That is Arsenal, pretty, pretty, pretty, but not very effective.""

Souness really is a clueless tit, Brighton spent the majority of the first half putting pressure on Arsenal and forcing them into mistake after mistake. They were outplayed and outfought.

Think I'm switching to Barca - Atletico after half time is over.

He's far from clueless. He often hit the nail on the head, in particular when summarsing our matches. There's nothing there that's innacurate

Chelsea's tactic of man-marking De Bruyne is helping them a lot. When you pull him out of the game, City is functional but not exceptional.

There's fecking loads of empty seats! For a game against Chelsea when you're team is going for a league title!!!

It never ceases to amaze me that.

Dick questioning by that reporter on Astori's death when Conte's voice was breaking. Classless.

Wrt to the game, hope for an Aguerooooo moment today.

He gives the impression that good old Arsenal were passing the ball around nicely. There was nothing "pretty pretty" about Arsenal today. Brighton were forcing them to make mistake after mistake, and nearly scored 2 goals due to Arsenal giving the ball away due to lack of passing options (and general shite passing)

Yep, part time wankers the lot of them. Utd get full houses for any game against the top 5. City fans can't be arsed as it's on TV:rolleyes:

Sane is like the guy on FIFA with 99 pace and agility, unreal speed.

This is decent practice for Chelsea before they go to Barca

Nah he often criticises the lack of substance in teams if all they do is pass, pass pass. He would have sent out the message to kick the feck of of them. He's admired Arsenal teams of the past but they had Vieria,Petit,Silva then

How ridiculus is Pep's scarf? Looks like my grandmothers.

I know it's better for us the Chelsea loses, but I can never hope for a City win.

Call me old fashioned but how is a cross 'a brilliant ball' if it doesn't even get within 10 yards of a teammate?

It can easily be a great cross followed by poor work from the one who should be in position....

It's big mistake from Conte to play Hazard as a false 9. He's getting nothing. Should've gone with a focal point Giroud/Morata.

Sane is the most exciting winger to watch in absolute ages.
