Premier League Gameweek 29 (3rd - 5th March 2018)

He’s lucky Pep didn’t get Mahrez at the end of January. Had he done so Bernardo would never have got a chance (which is crazy!)

That would definitely decrease his chances, but with his quality he would eventually get there. He hasn't played alot of minutes, so he should be in good shape for the WC.

Neville is wildly inconsistent with his analysis. One minute City are unplayable then the next the opponent is pathetic.

Maybe just say that City are very good and its difficult to set up against them. From what I see Chelsea are trying to hold their shape. If they kept chasing the ball and the movement of City players, they'd get hammered into the dirt.

I don't know what Conte was thinking playing Hazard upfront against a team was always going to dominate possession. Is Morata injured again?

On the other it's a bit depressing that teams really seem to fear City and are unable to take them on. So even at 70 per cent they boss games. Apart from Liverpool it seems but the fact that they're the one team that can take them on is in itself not a pleasant thought.

For all the disappointment he's been, Chelsea could use a bit of Bakayoko here.

Oof, I just came in. Another match without a striker and no goal. Who could have predicted that?

They've been in desperate need of someone to battle the CBs physically and hold up play. Hazard, as class as he is, just can't do that. So it's always coming straight back.

Nah he's trying to replicate the Barca performance. Morata would have stank the place out so Giroud should have been the man that started.

So if Chelsea lose this, their form table isn't too different from Arsenal's apart from the FA Cup win against Hull and the famous Barca draw. Some of the Top 6 really tanking this season.

Bollocks to how good city may to may not be, the standard of opposition they've faced throughout the season has been pathetic. Too many teams play them and simply accept defeat and look towards the next game. United didn't exactly cover themselves in glory here ether, so i'm not ignoring them.

City are great on the ball, but they can be exploited when not in possession due to the way they play. There is so much space there but teams set up so negative that they're unable to do it. It's even more ridiculous when you're talking about a top six team doing it against them.

Put Morata in, I wanna see him miss an open goal!

Which is why their Champions League campaign will be interesting.

Not dissimilar to Pep's time at Bayern. Dominant domestically, but took some beatings in Europe and never won the CL.

Make a change Conte, miserable bastard.

Wtf happened to this Chelsea team. Last season they were a joy to watch.

Andreas Christensen is an error a game player. He makes mistake after mistake every game and still gets picked.

He's only good at running, that's about it.
Well, Chelsea are in need of that in this game. Drinkwater and Fàbregas seem like they're jogging in the same place, like fake running.

Why do people care for Chelsea? If they lose we're almost guaranteed top 4

All I hear about Andreas Christensen is how great he is. It seems like he's been largely to blame for several goals that I've seen recently yet I haven't seen him get much stick about it. Is my estimation of this player wrong?

Why is Conte not switching things up? There's still an opportunity whilst it's 1-0. Hazard is feeding off scraps.

Seems now it's fashionable to think Bakayoko is an one legged player.
He's been shite for ages. Even for Monaco he looked a brainless player with very little talent. For Chelsea, add in that he's looked lazy and not even a great engine on him.

Don't bee surprised if that's Conte's last game in charge. Actually, maybe next week after the Barcelona game.

They played well above their level last season. Tbf I never found them a 'joy to watch' - I would have thought of them as hard working and industrious.

Shame, I was hoping for a draw or something at least. I guess Chelsea is not motivated.

Bakoyoko would run like a headless chicken. The moment Kante was unavailable for the game is the moment they lost. You can't have someone brainless like Bakoyoko in that midfield against City, they'd run riot because he'd let them have a free go at the defense.
