It's important to remember that Keenum numbers are slightly inflated by Diggs and Thielen, who are not only great route runners but are also two of the best at contested catches.

He also had much more protection to be fair, look at the comparatives for number of sacks and yards lost to sacks, Keenum obviously had more time available to throw.

That said, poor protection or not Cousins throws too many picks.

They will be pretty good in Denver as well with Thomas and Sanders. Both are potential 100 catch receivers as they've previously demonstrated under Manning.

In fact, you are going to like Keenum's ability to escape pass rushes, he stole sacks several times. And yeah, Cousins turnovers are huge concern particularly his fumbles.

That's because they have a super bowl window that they are going big. And yes they will be under the cap in the next 3 years since they can front load the deal and they have the option of making room by cutting someone like Jarius Wright, they are also going to renegotiate Murray's contract or cut him between the two you have 7m in 2018 and 8m in 2019, both can be replaced since they are depth guys, someone like Griffen will be renegotiated since cutting him would free 10,7m in 2019. The Vikings are a well managed team from a salary standpoint, the different journos that are making noise about the future extensions are doing a pretty bad job.
Cheers man. So, it looks like they are going all in with maneuverable cap space too. Wish the Eagles had some cap space. Looks like the competition is definitely getting stronger.

They are very good receivers but with them it's more about getting open on their initial routes and having sure hands while Thielen and Diggs have shown the ability to transform interceptions into completed passes or scramble in order to salvage a snap. They are not necessarily better but they are different.

There's a reason Keenum sucked his entire career until last season.

Please tell us the reason.

Because he was playing for two teams with terrible players on the offensive side of the ball. Between the Rams and Texans he has played with only two good players, Hopkins and Gurley, but with the Rams the coaching staff was really bad and with Texans he was probably too young to exploit Hopkins fully.

Yes its quite likely he was in the wrong system. Just look at Foles with the Rams in 2015, a complete disaster. Keenum worked with Kubiak (and Joseph) in Houston so they obviously see some positive potential on the back of what he did last year.

One thing though, the Vikings run the ball a lot and used Mckinnon ability to catch a lot too, the Broncos seem to be a little bit different in that regard, so I'm curious to see if they will lean in that direction.

Pats clearing some space for Braxton Berrios I see. ;)

Sam Bradford to the Cardinals. Dont know how much of a step up is that from Carson Palmer. The Cards wont be going anywhere this season with Bradford.

Noooo :(

Pats should've paid him - he knows the system, makes big catches & Brady trusts him. Edelman & Mitchell need to stay healthy if we're not planning on replacing him.

Lots of changes for the offense it seems - Burkhead, Lewis & Solder look like they're leaving too & there's still questions about Gronk (I think he'll do 1 more year then call it quits)

Great move for the Cardinals. They also have Gabbert which should help spread the risk in case Bradford gets hurt again.

For me Bradford is really good, if only he good stay healthy.

Edit: The Vikings should have plenty of high comps picks next year.

4 years, 40m dollars and 20mil guaranteed. I'm happy for him but I'm even happier we didn't consider trying to match that given his injury record and output.

Yup. Injured for the whole contract, one good year and that. We can't match it.

Plus, Lockett's deal expires next year and he's more durable (bar a broken leg) and handles returns. Does mean we are likely losing Graham and Richardson, not sure we can rely on Willson to step up and be a TE1 either so we're going to need to bring some people in.

Norwell is off to the Jax. Will become the highest paid guard in the league.
Allen Robinson is expected to sign with the Bears, Sammy Watkins will sign with the Chiefs. That's three of the best free agents off the market already.

Until Zach Martin inevitably gets a new deal from Dallas.

Nelson released - wow

Graham will be a brilliant signing for GB!
