Liverpool have their name on the trophy, just like they did on the run to Istanbul.
You could see it coming, sure as eggs are eggs.

My concern is Salah v Marcelo :nervous:

but at the other end of the pitch Ronaldo v Alexander-Arnold & Lovren

This is after a fecking semi final, I don't even want to picture the scenes if they actually win it.

Please Ronnie, bring your A game.

The state of them

Madrid may as well hand over the trophy to them right now.

Dislike both teams, but real have beaten psg juventus and Bayern Munich.

Liverpool have beaten porto, city and one of the weakest semi final sides in years.

Real deserve to win it

89' Ronaldo misses penalty
93' Salah bicycle kick

......Gerrard kisses the camera

Zidane headbutts Gerrard

I dont get why people hate Madrid hate so much. Is it because you all think they stole Ronaldo from us? They didn't steal him, he wanted Madrid more then anything else. Get over it. You should be hating Barca for their more then a club shite.

It is the weakest CL I have seen in quite a while. Real, Barca, PSG and Bayern have all been laughable by their own standards. Chelsea, Utd and Liverpool are hardly finished products from England. City looked closest to being that but ultimately lack of experience showed.

Anyone could have won it this season. Real ultimately will. But this could really have been the season for Utd, Spurs, City, Roma, Bayern or Barca to win it without anyone being too surprised.

Christ when you put it like that this Real Madrid side cant be that bad can they and for the love of god if they can do all of those sides over two legs surely they can beat Liverpool. Right? :nervous:

Spurs win something?

just saw that Liverpool have been allocated 16,626 tickets. I would assume Real would get the same. The stadium holds 63000. Why not tag on 10,000 for each set of fans FFS.

I take it if Manchester United were in this position they'd just politely walk off the pitch with no celebrations. I feel nauseated watching United players and fans celebrating wildly, its called 'being jealous'.

When I thought the world couldn’t be in anymore of a mess. With Trump president and Brexit now Liverpool are in a champions league final. Surely they can’t win it just to add to my misery. If Ronaldo somehow stops Liverpool winning the CL it will be official and no one could ever dispute it again that he will be viewed as better than Messi if he can stop the scum from winning the CL!

They have been struggling in mid-table and then on the peripheries of European competition since the end of Benitez days, getting embarssed by teams like Ludogrets. They have been no closer to the PL title than one season and have been battling for top four with no hope of a proper trophy. Are you surprised they're ecstatic?

If Arsenal even got to the semis I'd be like that!

We're capable of scoring 3 or 4 goals against anyone. If Madrid give us the space they afforded Bayern, we will.

Porto, Roma and Man City were all blown away in spells of absolute dominance and intensity which killed each tie - intensity that those sides could not match. I expect we will attempt something similar in the final against this old and slow Madrid team, and so I'm reasonably confident as long as we can keep the side fit from now until 26th May.

I have a dreadful feeling that they wont. But that is as hard a run to the final as you can get. Liverpool's is the easiest

I agree with most of the things you said but the team SAF had in last season was rubbish, SAF was genius to manage a league title so asking a CL is too much even for SAF.

One thing on completely different note though, I think Zidane maybe suffering from reverse SAF syndrome. No disrespect to SAF but I feel like he had a formula to win league and Zidane has one to win CL and it's working out so good that Zidane don't want to change it in league. Tbh it's understandable league cemented SAF's legacy and 2 CLs is more than enough to call him one of the greatest but he should have won more CLs considering he dominated English football for nearly two decades and now I am seeing the same thing with Zidane who is extraordinary in champions league but not so good in league, though it's reverse of SAF, hence the reverse SAF syndrome.

I think you should take in to perspective the referring decisions that went against us against Bayern(2009-10) and Real(2012-13). In both the ties, we were better than the other team, and we would have probably won against both of them if not for those awful red card decisions, plus we reached 2 more CL finals and we were up agains the best team in the history of football, Barcelona. We would have added a couple more if not for these, we were really feared in Europe until SAF and definitely the second best European side back then(After Barca) although we don't have the record to back it up like them.

City have already won the league and that rabble could win the CL. Absolute nightmare scenario, let's hope Real's experience sees them through but in a one off game anything can happen.

Oh come on - all teams do this nowadays. Besides at the beginning of the season they would never have expected to reach the final of the Champions League - you can forgive emotions taking over.

Maybe, but not the fecking pundit! It’s very unprofessional by Fjørtoft to be hugging Klopp.

You're missing the point. I don't mind the team celebrating. Of course you should celebrate reaching the CL final. My problem is the media's coverage of the celebrations and these so called 'pundits' joining in the celebrations when A) it's none of their business and B) they're supposed to be neutrals. These broadcasters are not representing Liverpool TV.

It's no secret that Carragher is a Liverpool fan though, that doesn't mean he can't be neutral in the studio when commenting on a game. He's both very critical of Liverpool and praises them when deserved.

Carragher is not the problem, Fjørtoft is. He is supposed to present the match as a neutral, and not act like a groupie.

Real has way too many winners and game-deciders, surely they will beat this Liverpool side....

Right? :(

I don't even know who that is, but if he's some broadcaster like Lineker for BT without a connection to Liverpool then it's just weird behaviour by him imo.

It‘s amazing. In Germany there is a rule (and I am sure that German posters will back me up on this)
that you always support your country‘s clubs in the UCL.
Regardless of who you support in general.
Most Dortmund fans I know were rooting for Bayern yesterday.

Interesting, that it is so different in England.

What? I'm German and I've never heard of that nonsense. None of the people I watched the semi-finals with supported Bayern on Tuesday.

This is like trying to pick your favourite child, when both of them are Hitler.

"New Member" Liverpool fans are coming out of nowhere. A bit weird. :wenger:

A former Norwegian footballer. Leeds fan and never played for Liverpool.

Saw a few stats posted in the previous page and I believe that they don't mean anything on the day. Especially not in the context of a major European league final.

For the the talk of some teams never having won at OT, all it took was a season of Moyes. So I'd rather not put too much faith in track records/history. I can only hope that Liverpool get embarrassed in the final.

30,000 corporate sponsors yo

Liverpool had an easy road to the final compared to Madrid.
Here's hoping it made them think They're better than what They actually are.
