I’m not criticising Pep am just not sure how he’s better or number one in the world as widely said when the last time he won in Europe was 7 years ago. No doubt he is a fantastic manager who gets his teams playing excellent football.

He's still done more than any other Real manager since their new galactico project.
His 3rd CL win sealed it for me. It could easily be the case that Zidane is just riding the wave of his players, but his in game management is REALLY good which is a good sign of tactical awareness.

Yes. 3 CLs, you can't argue against that. But how much is it to do with the infrastructure in place?
It'll be interesting to see what he does at another club. I think for instance getting a Second Division side into the top leagues would be just as impressive than a cup win.

The man has won 3 champions league yet isn’t respected. Once is a fluke. But 3 times is the same amount of times we won it in our history.
He hasn’t spend a lot of money. You get City, PSG, Chelsea and us spending millions yet look nowhere near winning it. That Liverpool starting line up cost more than Madrids.

You'd think Zidane would struggle with a lesser team. But that's kind of the point. Not many would be able to manage all these superstars effectively, Benitez certainly failed. His success is down to the respect as one of the greatest as much as anything else.
It becomes a little too easy to still call it luck. The guy deserves major props. I was also someone who didn't think he would make a great coach because he has such a reserved nature, and I had no idea of his tactical awareness as a coach, I knew as a player he was a legend but that doesn't always translate. However, 3 champion's league in a row, including a La Liga trophy after his first full season, you can't argue against that. He is already a legend as a coach just on that achievement alone.

Domestic achievements are irrelevant in this case. What he’s done is simply unthinkable in the modern game.
He is respected. Yet there's always going to be scepticism surrounding Zidane and his achievements.
He might have not spent a lot of money but Real blew everyone away from 2009-13 in terms of spending. And the infrastructure was a darn sight better than Barcelona's when Pep moved up as head coach.
The 3 CLs would be put into perspective when he has to freshen up the side.
This guy literally won as many Champions Leagues in less than three years as a manager than our club has won in its entire history...and some here are calling it luck. Have a word with yourselves.

His post Ronaldo, Bale, Modric rebuild will say a lot about him. He can't expect to stumble upon a GOAT#2 attacker and one of the best midfielders in history again.

I'd say that's entirely unrealistic. Florentino would loathe to let him go after making him the most ambitious signing of the Galácticos era and subsequently elevating him to the manager's position (which was a massive vote of confidence). If Zidane does leave Madrid in the future for some inexplicable reason, he'll probably manage the French national team — seems like a very organic and obvious course of action: they will likely start peaking by the 2022 World Cup based on the profile of the players, so he'll be ideally positioned to lead the charge. Winning the World Cup as a player and as a manager would be a veeeeery enticing proposition for him, especially considering only 2 humans ever (Zagallo and Beckenbauer) have managed to do that. That will definitely cement his name as one of the foremost figures in football history.

Yes, he has an incredible choice of players but I think the smouldering cauldron - that Madrid is - it's equally as difficult to keep the players happy, Perez happy, the fans happy and the vicious press happy. You need to produce and proude he he has. Excellent achievement. Retire now and you will have won more than most managers - let that sink in!
