If true, it sounds like Shaw's content at his career going the way it is.
Shaw really has no ambition at all. Such a shame that someone who looked so talented is so lazy. He’s clearly not got a future under Jose.
Shaw is so lazy he isn't even bothered to leave. What a trooper.
How is him wanting to stay and fight for his place considered lazy and has no ambition? If you were at man utd and it was your last place to break into a top team's side, would you leave and join a club like Newcastle? Thought not.

Guaranteed within a year or two there'll be more links to other clubs

Shaw mate, you should have picked a less obvious username when you joined.

The press knows feck all these days. Random prices being quoted. 150m for SMS, more than that for Bale. 75m for Toby.

I think this is the summer where United moves away from these ridiculous demands.

Makes sense that we're not one of the three clubs interested in Milinkovic-Savic. Our priority should be a playmaker, rather than a goalscoring midfielder.

Lingard can come in for Pogba as the more advanced 8.

Think Adnan, Nani and Zaha were all better players and probably still are. No thanks.

Grealish was really good at against Fulham. He was the only Villa-player who looked capable of hurting them. Fulham had to bring him down illegally to stop him - time and time again. Not saying he is good enough to play for us - but he looked back to where he was some seasons ago.

Looks like Luke Shaw is living in La La Land . He is probably thinking that he will have an amazing next season . Putting great performances along with winning back his spot in the team and then since his contract is expiring United will then beg him to stay and at that point he can dictate things . Personally i feel United should just sell him if he doesn't sign a new extension . No point keeping him if he doesn't commit his future as he probably plans to make money as a free agent next season irrespective of his performances .

It's all very well saying "just sell him", but which club is going to match or exceed his current wages? None that I can see. And so either United will have to subsidise his wages at another club, or else keep him.

I totally get that and fair play to him but what I was saying was a mile of being not ready for us.

So first of all half the italian magazines say we have bid 100m euros, the next apparently we aren't even interested?

1 thing for sure, City won't want him, PSG can't afford him, Madrid maybe, but they've already got a fantastic midfield with Kovacic and Ceballos not even getting in the squad, I can't see them spending big on a midfielder.

Shaw is not wanting to fight for his spot he is happy to sit and get paid for nothing and ain't going to give up his loyalty bonus by requesting to leave.

Shaw seeing out his contract is a no brainer for him. No one is going to match his current wages now and he'll have more leverage as a (still only 24 year old) free agent than if he was being sold for 15-20m now.

Well, there is the chance that he genuinely wants to prove himself and is desperate to turn things around.

This is great news. Now Mourinho has two young players who he has already bullied and can continue bullying. No need to find a new target.

The absolute garbage you read about OUR manager in here. Bullying? Are you for real? Shaw has shown nothing to three managers including Mourinho. There are rumours about unprofessionalism and not taking his work very serious. That his boss outlines standards expected in his job is good management.

Shaw can do one. He knows he's going down in the world once he leaves us, in terms of salary and status, and wants to milk as much of this as he possibly can. He's got no intention or expectation of breaking into the team - he couldn't displace a 32yr old winger last season and he knows full well we're in the market for a LB. He wants to sit on his fat ass and earn that cheddar.

You're a classic case of the modern brainwashed fan, believes everything he reads off a sportsbible article or facebook post.

Ah yes I guess we did all miss this entire season where he played minimally, lost his spot to a winger, and was called out by the manager multiple times.

He's completely invested in earning his spot back.

Would be shortsighted of Shaw to waste another year sitting on the bench when he could join a team and get first team football and get his career back on track. The paycut would be worth it.

This place though. When rumours of martial wanted to leave for more minutes everyone said he had a weak mentality and didn't want to fight for his place in the team. Shaw wants to stay now the narrative is that he wants easy paycheck.

The last time Shaw had a proper summer rest and pre season was the year he broke his leg. Maybe he is thinking of what he did that summer, work hard with his physio and come for pre season in good condition.

Hang on, isn't the chap saying the exact opposite of what the story says?
Or are you talking reverse brain washing?

What's your opinion on Shaw then, obviously not using any of these "Brain washing" stories?

Not so long ago Martial was said to have a weak mentality for wanting to leave to get more minutes. This place is weird

I wonder how many years Shaw gets to prove it? Even last summer we thought this was the year for him, and he had a massive underwhelming one.
New Anderson? Who some refuse to write off, despite playing 15 games a year to varying levels?

He maybe sees it as last chance to make it here, like I said in my post this will be his third proper pre season since he signed.

I don't think you know what bullying is

I am sorry, is the word "enhanced motivation techniques" more PC.

If the guy who tweeted the article had've put "Luke Shaw looking to stay at United and fight for his place" instead of adding "and see out his contract" to the end, I'm pretty sure the poster wouldn't have made the automatic assumption Shaw wants to stay purely to get paid and stated it like it's a concrete fact.

My opinion is that he's been treated unfairly by Mourinho like Martial, and if he's given a consistent run of games which he hasn't once had under Mourinho, again like Martial, he'd be an asset to the team. If he wants that final chance to try and prove his worth then I'm all for it, he's shown flashes of his quality when he has made an appearance this season and we've been statistically better defensively when he's on the field.

How good is the lad? @Ban @No Idea For Nickname

Is he more talented than someone like Kovacic or is he Pjaca/Rog category? I know next to nothing about him, only that he is supposed to be a good talent
Aparently he is one of the most talented young players in the world. I have no idea how good or bad he is, just googled his name and found that he did not play that much for Dinamo, some injuries, some arguments with manager. Nice. There were rumours last year that Pep is a big fan and wanted him at City. Reading posts on Cro forums, people are having a laugh saying he will never make it in Roma, some say because he didn't try hard. Maybe he wanted to leave Dinamo, so reason for not giving his best. Time will tell.
Anyway, wish him good luck.

 why is 'PC' always the first argument nowadays when you get something completely wrong. You look like a complete fool.

Nothing to do with being PC. It's to do with being correct. There has been absolutely no bullying that we know of. If you think there has been, you live in your own reality or don't know what bullying means.
