Not sure who the manager will be.

Not sure if the owner will be allowed into the country.

Only 1 pre-season game is confirmed.

We'll win the league for sure.
 
No idea what's going on there. 2 months of the window to go and they don't seem like they've done much in terms of transfers or their manager. Plus there's the world cup, so it's gonna take more time to get the best players.

Meanwhile the other teams in the top 6 have done business and/or are close to making more.
 
They look a shambles and any other club you'd be confident they were in for a proper shit season.

But Chelsea make no sense, they seem to thrive on chaos.

Has anyone seen the promontional photos for Hyundai they have done with fans? It looks weird, like they’ve mucked up the photoshop on the guys head. As for what else is going on from the outside it does look like chaos, don’t really see what they are doing but guess once they sort out the manager situation i’d Imagine they’d make some moves.

So you'd be losing your leader, Abramovich banished (Ned beheaded), Conte gone soon after initially doing well (Robb winning a few battles and getting killed), Hazard (is he Sansa or Arya in this analogy? :confused: Sold to the Lannisters or leaves the shores to a foreign country?)

That's you lot. Fergie was Tywin. Moyes was Orson, Rui Faria and Jose were Jamie and Cersei but now Cersie/Jose is on his own. You know damn well Jose would love to play the Mountain up front.

Mata is Tyrion because he's the only nice one.

Don't know what to think about them atm. They seem to be in no man's land atm, with the problems surrounding the new manager and the owner.

Very odd all this. Figured Chelsea would have the management situation sorted early to allow a solid pre season and early transfer business.

Things seem totally up in the air at the moment and can fully understand why as a player you'd have serious concerns about joining the club.
 
Looks like they're finally about to appoint Sarri.
Should be fun to watch next season.
 
Can't believe we announced a friendly against Lyon (where I live) and then it turned out to be at the Bridge. FML. :(
 
Sarri with Zola in the next 24 hours is what my sources are telling me.

If Sarri can't speak English (which I'm not sure about, heard conflicting reports), hopefully we get Zola in all interviews.:angel:

I am really really happy with this appointment.

An attacking style of play, and a club legend coming back to help manage.
 
Does Zola have any managerial experience or will this be his first gig?
 
Replacing Conte with Sarri is like replacing Costa with Morata, just 15x worse.

:nono: Sarri will play entertaining football and win nothing, the cafe would love a manager like that.

I'd take Conte when Mourinho leaves, he's a very good manager.
 
It’s a step backwards without a doubt. Conte is a much better manager than Sarri.

It’s alright if he plays attacking football but that will mean feck all to Abramovich if he doesn’t produce trophies.

We have no idea whether Sarri or Conte is the better manager so far. Napoli is the biggest club Sarri has had to date, and they came much closer to the title than they had any real right to. Let's wait and see what he can do at a club with real resources.
 
I presume they're back for pre season training this week with the season starting in under six weeks.

Surely Conte can't take the session if he's going to be sacked imminently? Still manager anyway.

Chelsea always seems a bit of an odd club with some of the decisions they make but seems a real lack of direction there atm. Don't understand why they don't just pay up and also pay to get Sarri in as they'll probably overspend on players later on in the summer like they did with Bakayoko, Barkley and Drinkawater. Think those three cost close to 100m so no problem signing mediocre midfielders for 30-50m but won't pay 10m to sack Conte and get Sarri in?
