So where are all these 'be bold and take risks' signings? The only thing I have heard is a link to Aston Villa's Grealish, who is hardly going to take Spurs to the next level and looks more like a business as usual signing for Spurs.

Pochettino probably wishing he didnt sign that contract if Grealish is Spurs 'being bold and taking risks'. Meanwhile Klopp and Liverpool getting their business done.

Spurs under Pochettino have been absolutely rock solid on not leaking information* - Davinson Sanchez was the club record signing last summer and nobody whispered a word of it until right before the deal was done, for example. I would assume this summer will be exactly the same, nobody will hear anything about anyone until a deal is done.

*this is why someone like Glaston claiming to know anything "for sure" with Spurs is such horseshit. Nobody knows anything.

Speak for yourself sunshine. You don't speak for me and nor have I claimed anything about who Spurs will sign this summer.

What I have said is that Eriksen, Alli and others will all sign new contracts - the announcements are coming. If you think it's horseshit then too bad.

So the Grealish links just media bs?

Just you wait, I will come me back to you on this. Poch done first, then the main players signing again, yes Eriksen will be announced soon, then new signings. Oh aye Liverpool done well... signing a player they didn’t sign .

Rumours abound that Messi is about to request a transfer. The prospect of ending his career without having been able to call the Walkers Crisp Bowl his home is simply unbearable to him. Such is the power of this new juggernaut of a stadium, this gift bestowed upon the world of football (both the American and the non-moronic kind) by the mighty Spurs.
So Messi’s off to Leicester?

Nope - inevitable, but Villa willl need to go through extra steps regarding the financials. Even once he's signed, the PR team will probably delay announcing it for a while

Is Grealish good? Haven't seen any of him since Villa got relegated and he didn't impress then.

I think he has ability no doubt, technically very good and seems to have sorted his behaviour out. Looked miles better than Onomah last season, Villa fans rate him highly.

Why is it a problem if they use Wembley for one game?

I think it will be the first time in history that its happened, playing in 2 locations over 1 season. Some natives on here wont be happy I am sure, I don't see why we don't play our first 3 games away.

I imagine most won't be happy. It's unfair to the league.

Just like last season when they almost ended up in the final of the FA Cup on home soil. Luckily they didn’t, thank god, so we could avoid the boring debate. Let them play at Selhurst Park, why should they open the home of football to a second-rate club that fills only half the stadium on a bad day?

That's such a troll of a comment.

I thought our season was going to be in tatters because we were playing at Wembley last year? Somehow it’s now our home soil?

It went to «tatters» because you weren’t good enough and yet again ended up with nothing - just like United, although we are not starving as much as you do in terms of a trophy, any trophy. Playing at home in the FA Cup in both the semi and final would be very unfair.

I can see why, but honestly I don’t care sorry.

But surely United have much higher expectations than lowly Spurs...

Eh? I didn’t mean it to be offensive, don’t see how it’s shite, but fair enough. For what it’s worth I don’t think we will be allowed, and we will just have a run of away games to start off with.

Fair enough.

I think you'll be given permission though. Probably play 3 or 4 away games in a row and play a game or two at Wembley.

I was being facetious.

I don’t think our season was in tatters at all. I was just highlighting the negative connotation that was given at the beginning of the season and how it completely flipped when United had to play us at Wembley and it wasn’t a stick to beat us with anymore it was suddenly in our favour. I was simply pointing out the stark 180 that happened here in the blink of an eye.

I honestly would prefer not to use Wembley, it’s all a bit messy, unless Harry gets to parade the WC at Wembley in the first game lol.
Yeah I can’t really see how playing at Wembley again next season whether for a few games or a whole season benefits us at all. I don’t want to see it happen, but it’s looking more and more like a reality.

It's impressive how quick it's been built though I'll say that.

How the feck did Wembley take 6 years? I know it's a very nice stadium but 6 years is madness.

I have to say I’m impressed as well. Everytime I go down the street it always feels like there’s a building that’s taken an absolute eon to complete.

Heck most road work seems to take multiple years.

Rich, coming from the guy who came to the conclusion it'd be unfair to the league to have them play a game or two at Wembley.

Well of course it would. 16 or 17 teams would get to play them in one environment, 2 or 3 teams would play them in another.

Only borderline fair way would be to have the three promoted teams play them at Wembley with all surviving 17 teams from this year playing them at the Rose Bowl or whatever it's called.
(Obviously that then gives them 3 very easy home matches to start the season so is unfair in another way)

Meh.

It’s like arguing every team should only face each other when they’re all fully fit.

Liverpool is going to be first game at Spurs new ground. It was meant to be Fulham in gameweek 2, but they will have to play that one at Wembley due to construction delays.

Or they make the Fulham games the away fixture

Confirmed that it’s being played in Wembley.

Their first game in the new ground will be on the 15th September v Liverpool. I gather the builder is under huge pressure, and with me being in that line of work, it’s not surprising and I’m sure the 15th September will still be somewhat a challenge.
