Fantasy Premier League 18/19

Team as of right now, will probably change five of them prior to the deadline though:

Forster
Coleman, TAA, Shaw, Bertrand
Mane, Bernardo, Eriksen, Sanchez
Aguero, Firmino

Reasoning:
Good fixtures between Foster and Forster, the difference between an outstanding GK and a relatively good season is not that huge. DDG 172 points last season, but six keepers around 30-40 points behind him.
Everton have good fixtures, needed a Liverpool defender (might put in Lovren eventually), Shaw for United-points until he is subbed for Young, Bertrand because Soton have relatively OK fixtures
Mane instead of Salah (I know, I know) - Bernardo because I think he looks hot at the moment, will switch him for Ramsey in GW3 perhaps, Eriksen and Sanchez need no further introduction.
Aguero and Firmino up top, like 90% it seems, will swap Aguero for Kane once I know he is playing and is firing on all cylinders.

The main thing here is Sanchez, he will probably be sold to make room for other players as we go along. All of these players have nice fixtures the first five games, all should be getting lots of game time (except for Shaw).
That's nice Salahless team for the start of the season. I think people get too caught up in trying to build a team for the whole season!

Cheers! Can also go:

Sanchez - Eriksen - Mane
Aguero - Firmino - Zaha

The biggest mistake at the start of the season is not looking at fixtures (West Ham) and including players that are not going to start. I have had Salah in my team the last few weeks, but no matter how I present a team with him in it (which would be Richarlison and Pedro included), I think that midfield will rack up the same amount of points or better. Salah cannot possibly copy last season, and if he ends up at 220-250 the distance will be covered by the other guys. There is always the wild-card if he is scoring hat-tricks every single round. Stay away from players are: Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku/Pogba, Sterling, Kane and so forth - although a few of them might actually start. Who knows?

Liverpool defence wise; Robertson & VVD are your safe bets, but @ 6 the value probably lies with Lovren - yet he's out of this gameweek. TAA & Clyne are a massive rotation risk imo, I reckon Clyne will start tomorrow but only because of fitness... So the safe & cheapest option for GW1 has to be Joe Gomez.

Current team.

Ederson
Holebas-Darmian-Trent-Smalling-Kabasele
Mane-Salah
Lacazette-Aguero-Tosun

Subs: Richarlison-Billing-Højbjerg

- Not a big fan of Arnold's fixtures, but no better option at 5.
- Seems like Young might be back soon, so opted for Darmian instead - seems like Valencia is injured and also needs to regain form, which could mean gw1 and gw2 for Darmian. He'll also either not be on the field OR play 100% of the match, which is better than Shaw playing 60% or 30% of a match blocking good points elsewhere.
- For safety I have Richarlison on the bench.
- Only 2 City players, so I can use less subs on getting in De Bruyne, Sterling or whoever is back and in form.
- Lacazette: Low ownership and plays up top with Auba on the wing. Same output in pre-season as Auba and same output in last season's closing matches.
- If I want someone expensive, then I can butcher Richarlison, to make money to upgrade other places (like 2-3 subs in gw3)

Zaha vs Arnautovic is the big question mark for me now.

They have comparable fixtures, though Palace's are easier by a smidgeon. However, Zaha looks like he'll go back to playing behind Benteke again, and West Ham look to have improved their team. No idea how much Lucas Perez's signing will impact Arnautovic's chances of starting or team position though.

I’ve begrudgingly succumbed to peer pressure and brought Salah in.

To get the below I’ve had to drop a goal a game Aubameyang, bring in a non-playing keeper, 2 £4m defenders with questionable game time and will likely face further problems when Mahrez starts to get rotated. All this when Richarlison hasn’t scored a goal this year or most of it and Jota is an unknown quantity at PL level.

Hart
Rudiger Robertson Shaw
Salah(C) Mahrez Richarlison Jota
Aguero Firmino King

Vs my last draft

Patricio
Rudiger Mendy VVD Shaw
Mane B.Silva Richarlison
Aguero Aubameyang Firmino

Salah needs to explode to justify losing that depth.

Please someone help with my final team selection. Really can't decide:

DDG
Luiz
, Mendy, Doherty
Eriksen, Richarlison, Salah, Cairney
Aguero, Lacazette, Zaha

Subs: Norris, Wan-Bissaka, Peltier, Stephens

OR

Lloris
Trent
, Mendy, Doherty
Alexis, Pedro, Salah, Cairney
Aguero, Lacazette, Tosun

Subs: Norris, Wan-Bissaka, Peltier, Stephens

With option 2, I can replace Trent with Lovren when he returns...

Please help me do my final pick :nervous:

Got a busy afternoon, so probably won't be able to change this team now, even if I wanted to.

De Gea
TAA, Mendy, Davies
Seri, Salah, Sanchez, Jota, Mkhi
Aguero, Tosun

Good luck everyone!

I think I like the first one better. I dont trust Pedro neither. I'd go with Tosun instead of Zaha in team 1, but I assume you have Zaha because you don't want two Evertonians.

Thoughts?

Not very confident about Cairney, but mids under 6.5m aren't really solid anyway and I don't think I should downgrade defence any more.
Also got 0.5m in bank to do Sane->De Bruyne in a few GWs.

Ederson

VVD, Alonso, Tarkowski, Lindelof

Alexis, Mane, B. Silva

Firmino, Mitrovic, Rashford.

Fabianski/Kelly/Ricarlison/Jota

Final change is either Rashford or Tosun. Everton seem to have slightly easier games on paper. Thoughts?

Thank you very much. Yes, correct, don't want two Everton players. I'd prefer Tosun but there's no one else good at 6.5 than Richarlison. Thanks again.

I can do

1) Auba Firminho Augero with Sanchez behind
2) Firminho Augero with Salah and Sanchez behind.

So torn. Salah will get goals and 50% have him so it's risky to miss. Aubameyang is a goal a game striker and will likely shine too.

Not sure about Richarlison. Remember he didn’t have an assist or goal in his last 24(26/28???) games for watford last season. He might hit the ground running, i watched him alot last season and his final product was not very good but got him plenty of dangerous situations. Personally i have gone for Sessengon at 6.5m but may change after a few games.

I just want the season to start so I can stop tinkering

Same. I've changed again this morning  Gone balls deep on both City and Liverpool and decided against any Everton players until I actually watch them play a game.

Patricio (Hamer)
Robertson, Davies, Mendy (Wan-Bissaka, Peltier)
Salah, Mane, Jota, B Silva (Cairney)
Mitrovic, King, Aguero

You've got a lot of money sitting on the bench there but I do quite like the team.

People making me doubt Richarlison now feck sake. Who’s the alternative for that money
Sessegnon, Jota, Pedro

But remember, Richarlison had played half a season in his previous team plus full season at Watford. Might have just been burn out

Why do FFScout believe Smalling wont start?! :nervous::wenger:

Played his best from winter to spring, Bailly looked sooo bad in preseason and he's always been in front og Lindelof in the pecking order. Why would Smalling not start??

Yeah i do but means that i can upgrade with a big name striker or get Salah in if i need to pretty easily. Tempted to upgrade Mane for Hazard and take out Jota but think i'll do that in a couple of weeks time once Hazard is back to full fitness.

Changed like crazy all summer... but I've started a league with some friends with the only rule that you can't use any Liverpool players... Feel the same about Everton, remember two seasons ago when I thought they'd end up in an EL-spot and perhaps even fight for fourth, then they had to fight the relegation battle instead

Foster
Smalling, Ward, Robertson
Alexis, Eriksen, Mane, B. Silva, Jota
Aguero, King.

Subs: Fabianski, Zohore, Wan B, Peltier

Suggestions please.

Any good alternatives in defence for 4.5?

Have Cedric who is risky.

Already have Tomkins too.

Smith/Cook from BOU. Some at Fulham might be worth a look too.

How can this be improved guys/girls?
