Premier League Gameweek 2 fixtures (18th - 20th August 2018)

Think Huddersfield and Cardiff are two certainties to go down. Just no attacking quality at all.

Watford always seem to start seasons well.

True. Was thinking Burnley of last season would put up more of a challenge, Turf Moor was a difficult fixture for most teams.

I’m genuinely honest if any neutral has bothered to watch this Man City game..? it was a foregone conclusion from the start & you knew Huddersfield would just sit in deep & essentially make it a non contest. Maybe I’m in the minority but I’d much ratheir watch two evenly matched teams like Cardiff v Newcastle yesterday

Cardiff v Newcastle was shit though.

If such a thing as a neutral exists in football I'm sure they'd happily watch City batter teams each week. What I don't understand is why United fans put themselves through it and then come here to moan about how good they are.

This Sunday afternoon is setup for a moan.

City play like this vs Huddersfield and if by any chance United lose, draw or win unconvincingly getting pinned back in their own half in the process, then it could be.......interesting :nervous:

They just seem to be able to create chances whenever they want to. They're so good all over the pitch.

In the first half Andy hinchcock almost wanted blood for a Huddersfield player having the nerve to tackle a city player.. this half he is laughing at the fact David Silva has kicked someone...

Well it wasn’t the best game but wasn’t terrible either, was engrossing & it was interesting seeing if one moment of magic or a mistake could change things. A competitive game & I enjoyed it at least.

Only the second game and everyone is already conceding the title to City. Let's not forget that no team has retained the title since Sir Alex's era, what makes you all so confident City would win it again? The title is coming back to the red half of Manchester!

That’s the thing... I thought the quality was horrific! Was engrossing though, seeing how bad of a game Kenedy had.

Let’s be honest though Huddersfield are terrible & were always going to sit back at City as many teams are scared of them and give up the game from the start preferring to save their energy for more winnable games. I’m not sure Brighton are that bad.

And again the cock in the commentary box is crying over a foul, it was a foul but Jesus don’t go over the top when calling for a red.

In terms of pure quality and squad depth City easily have the best team. The only team I can see challenging them is Liverpool if they put up some consistency, as they usually do well against the other top teams.

The only way I see us winning the league if Mourinho pulls some Madrid 11/12 level of consistency, but the top 6 in the league are pretty strong that I can see us losing or drawing a few games.

Quality wasn’t good of course although Shelvey, Perez, Arter & Murphy looked good. But I’d rather watch 2 evenly matched bad quality teams than an awful team versus a quality one.
