Fantasy Premier League 18/19

I was just taking the piss out of him Cass for acting smug after a GW.

Re your 2 options, I see your thought process behind this but you can do better than the 2nd lot even if you go this route imo. 3 rotation risks there.

Assume you mean Silva, Shaw and Lingard? Yeah i'll go for Maddison over Lingard I think. Liked the look of him since the game against us. With Silva I just have to accept the rotation from City. I think he'll be worth it in the long run and likewise with Shaw. Both are easily changeable though if the rotation becomes more permanent.

Yeah, those 3. Fair dos in that case.

Thinking of activating the Wildcard right now to protect the value of my team. I have Stephens, Tomkins and Sessegnon which might drop 0.1 each soon. Since wilcard would be active for 2 weeks (due to international break), I can still make changes to bring in players a day before deadline.

What do you guys think?

I was thinking about it but I want to wait a bit.

On the defenders side it’s more or less clear which will be the highest scoring ones this season. Forwards are also not that abundant in options.

However, the midfield (which is the most important area in FPL) is pretty much wide open at the moment and I don’t trust the top scorers we have right now. I think we will see a shift soon and some underperforming players that will begin to score points (looking at Erikssen, Sane, Sanchez etc, even some cheaper ones like Maddison, Schurrle). So for that reason I am saving my wildcard because I will need it once that shift sets in motion.

Alonso is pretty much as vital as Salah was last season. He is a defender and has shots on goal every single game.

Pretty much this. For some reason I never really liked expensive defenders and always went for a cheap backline. I can't really explain it as I know they can score high points but I always prefer the more 'glamorous' attacking players, however this year I've just had to get Alonso after watching a few games. Insane attacking outlet.

I was the same but fullbacks are much more attacking now than they used to be. They're like having MF players that also get clean sheet points.

Yes, but a 0.3 drop, if it happens, would be very hard to digest in one single GW.

God I suck this year. 45 points this game week....i'm way too rash. Sold Mane and Lukaku for Kane and Miki. Of course Miki would get dropped and Lukaku would bag a brace.

The feeling being "need to wait and watch how it turns out"?
:D got one. Salah will score a hattrick after the international break I'm sure, it just feels good to be on the right end of a decision this time!

Tomkins and Quaner dropped in price already. Useless 0.2 drop in value. Stephens and Sessegnon still to come. :(
You will just have to decide if 0.2 price drop is worth the value of a wildcard. I’m of the opinion that you will gain more than 0.2 in price increases when you wildcard..

Thinking about where to go from here.
Holebas going to rise very soon. Wondering whether to take my first -4 because of that or not. Looks like I'd have enough money to not need to anyway (unless loads fly up, which is possible), so is it worth it?

Also difficult to know whether the changes are chasing points, or bringing in this season's bargains.

Zaha out for Mitro?

I'm looking at this move too. He seems more in form, but there's not much to go off, and will form continue after the break?
I've not really seen them play, but someone on Reddit said he's the sole focal point of Fulham's attack, who are playing good attacking football at the moment.

True - I don't have a lot of options tbh Zaha is only 7mil. It's either him or murrary...

West ham aren't scoring a lot of goals at the moment. They've only scored 4 so far so I wouldn't waste time with Arni, how much is Deeney?

Think Arni will still get points, but yeah, not as attractive as the others atm.
Deeney is under 7. Definitely worth considering with their current form. They're playing us next, and we do struggle in the air sometimes :nervous:
Hopefully Jones isn't marking him. Or is, if you get him in

Hmm I'll have a look

Funnily enough I don't have any utd players in my team at the moment :wenger:

Yeah, not worth it unless we pick things up. Obviously Shaw, Pogba, Lukaku are options if so, I'd much rather have Robertson, Mendy, Alonso though, and there's probably more consistency/value elsewhere with the other two.

Yeah exactly - hopefully by the end of this month I can add a couple.

Same here, but splashed out on the defence this year for the first time ever, Got a feeling that Alonso, Robertson and Mendy are going to be the highest scorers on the game this season. Wing backs at the big boys are looking vital picks.

Me neither and I don't see it changing either. I'd have definitely taken Pogba but the guy is fecked wrt conversion of the chances he creates.

The only one I don't have is Mendy, which is annoying, but his price rising to 6.4 so quickly really left me on the back foot and I didn't want to use my WC early. I have Alonso, Robertson and Shaw though so I am fairly happy, and Ederson for City cover.

Swap Shaw for Alonso? Or leave it off?

I think his returns are way too good to last and he'll inevitably go on a 7-8 match dry spell where he does feck all. When? Who knows. I'm going to wait for that to happen, people to dump him and then buy him around the 6.5 mark. Not gonna chase a streak where a FB is scoring like fecking Salah on drugs.

Get Alonso in in any way you have to

Yeah I think the same. In our league with mates the one who is in front, 35 points ahead of me is only there because of Alonso.

I got £0.6m in the back and want to change Ben Davies, Bernardo Silva and Tosun for new players. I am open to trading De Gea too for an extra £0.4m in the budget too.

Someone did a big analysis on bargain keepers on Reddit, looking for this season's Pope, and Patricio came out on top. Tempted to changed Ederson to him for 1m extra to spend.

He's done it on a 4 match sample space and pretty much said himself that the analysis will only start making sense when we're deeper into the season.

That said, I got Patricio in last week. Wolves look good and he's a very good keeper playing below his level tbf.

I had Patricio at the beginning but swapped him for De Gea for clean sheets. I would actually get £1.3m for this swap which could help me greatly in other areas.

De Gea needs to go for sure. A keeper for £5.9m is bad business.

Think I will take Patricio back too. I would be sitting on £2.0m in the bank which could help me get good upgrades elsewhere. I don’t have wildcard anymore so I would need to stage my moves but it’s more than doable to do this small remodeling as my team is good anyways.

If I were sure Shaw will keep his place then Ben Davies for him would be a no brainer too. Another £0.8m in the bank.

I think there's a very good chance now that Mou has talked him up recently. Wouldn't worry too much, except I worry we can't keep clean sheets with Lindelöf on the field.

Shaw is going nowhere in his form. Getting big praise from Jose on a weekly basis and one of our best players so far.

Aye, I dont have Robertson. Couldnt spend big on 3 defenders, 2 is enough! But I wouldnt be surprised to see all of them hit close to double figures in assists this season.
