Do people really complain about that performance? I thought we played good in the first half and had them under control, not Mou's fault that Rashford couldn't hit the target at all. Second half was more even but we stil attacked but were let down in the last third, especially Rashford with his pass to Fellaini which was absolute garbage..

As opposed to the magnificent world class players who performs week in week out that Mou had brought like Matic, Lukaku, Bailly, Lindelof, Sanchez, Fred and Dalot. The reality is that our best performers are SAF's signing (DDG) and LVG's signing (Martial). Meanwhile Moyes signing keep bailing Mourinho off.

What I don't understand is, why are people blaming only Mourinho again. I didn't see the entire match but saw the highlights.
In those highlights there were enough chances for us to score .Rashford was dangerous but he was not clinical for the goal or key passes. Like the one where he cut back and should have played it straight to Fellaini who would have had a great chance to score or the one where all he had to do was put it past the keeper but put it over the bar.
Is it his fault that Lukaku is not scoring or the other players are not scoring from the chances they get.

Yes, you're right. It's highly unusual for me to be so flippant about a victory but that's just the space I live in with United at the minute.

You nailed it. Maybe I don't know much about football but isn't it the player's job to put the ball at the back of the net when he has a chance or at least hit the target or make a simple pass that gives a team mate all the room needed to cause havoc?
It's getting ridiculous. Rashford misses a glaring chance, it is the manager's fault. Martial misplaces simple passes and loses the ball up to 10 times while trying to dribble through a wall, it is the manager's fault (meanwhile the manager takes no credit when Martial is playing like Ronaldinho). Top pro players are making poor decisions that academy players won't have a problem with, it is the manager's fault. I have no problem with firing Jose as long as the decision takes us back to glory days after all, United is bigger than any manager or player, but it is time we adopt a more balanced and fair approach to assessing performances and the squad.
Has anyone got a Gif of that potential breakaway in the 2nd half, where Fellaini completely spoofed an otherwise easy forward ball out to the byline, only for Lukaku to momentarily rescue it, before falling over his own touch?

It was in many ways exactly how I thought it would be. As a gullible fan, I thought it would be an easy 3-0 victory (and it would be if Rashford scores after four minutes) - but as a betting man I had that 0-0 after 85 minutes-feeling when the game started. The first half wasn’t that bad, we could/should have scored a goal or two, always in control but playing without adrenaline. In the second half we lost control and actually invited them to pressure us, which is ridiculous and then some. We actually didn’t have any chances before Fellaini scored, and we all know de Gea just made one of the best saves we’ve ever seen on a football pitch.

If City or even Spurs played this side, it would be 5-0 easily, Young Boys were absolutely terrible and invited us time and time again with poor passes and lackluster attempts to clear the ball. The mere fact we didn’t create anything before 90 minutes is a sackable offence. I don’t say it easily, but it’s time. Our team isn’t good enough to challenge (and Mourinho is in charge of picking the right acquisitions) - but not creating anything against semi-professionals isn’t good enough at any given time when we have motivation. If we have already won the group and it doesn't matter, then sod it, but this was an important game and it did matter, motivation should be there.

Our movement needs genuine help, it's laughable. We're statues. You could see even Matic looking to make balls forward last night and the forwards were just stood motionless looking at him. Horrific.

I know that, I was joking. I don't suppose they could really avoid playing the record after a bad game but having been in the ground to hear it blare out after 90 minutes of rubbish it does ring very hollow.
This is exactly what I expected. If fans actually thought we were going to hammer this lot 4 or 5 nil, they need to wake up and smell the coffee. We couldn't beat Derby or Crystal palace at home, so not sure why we could beat a team in the champions league so convincingly.

Martial has gone off the boil big time and rashford couldn't finish his dinner, unfortunately Lukaku can finish his dinner and that's a whole other issue.

that’s it.When a player has a stinker from time to time, that’s on the player. When they all have stinkers week after week, that’s on the manager.

The decision making ability is not good of our players, the passes which could set up a goal are not accurate. These are thing that can we worked upon, but it's time that players take responsibility for it along with Mourinho .
You’re being pedantic, “week after week” is a turn of phrase meaning regularly, it doesn’t mean every single week without exception. We’ve struggled with these poor individual performances from much of our squad “regularly” since Mourinho took over.

If you only watched the highlights and not the entire match than please don't make stupid comments like "I didn't see what's wrong with the performance". For those of us who had to sit through the disjointed attack and panic stricken defence it's insulting. Anyone can edit together the chances to make it seem like we were some dominant force but we really weren't and could have easily lost, it was identical to the palace game (I mean if you watched that...).
Some of my favourite parts of the game were when Rashford missed and Jose turned to the bench shaking his head throwing his arms out, can you imagine what Rashford will think when he watches that? Not only that, but don't the players on the bench think "Jesus does he do this everytime I make a mistake on the pitch as well". He's throwing his players under the bus in public.
My second part was the complete lack of attacking movement and tactics, we had 4 or 5 players lined up on the edge of the box...in a fecking line...not moving. You watch games like Southampton and even they have attacking patterns of play. We won the game through hoofing it towards Lukaku who flicked it on to Fellaini. Nail on the head. I started this approach last night and it made the whole thing bearable. If we just accept we are an average side with a manager who is self entitled and rigid with his style of play, then it is not so bad. Jose is not going anywhere until the end of the season, so there is no point going crazy over this. Sit back and accept this season is a write off and focus on the comedy aspects. There were plenty last night.

This thing about Jose looking away and nodding in 'disgust' when Rashford missed that great chance, has been blown well out proportion. I bet all Utd fans in the stadium or watching it on TV reacted in a similar way. It's human nature. Klopp does it a lot (recently at Wembley when they beat Spurs), but it's classed as passion when he does it.
I know Mourhino is getting a lot of flack, which he deserves, but jeez this is well over the top. Another point, if Rashford wasn't English, this would not have been mentioned by that big ears idiot!
Lucky escape again. The lack of a right side for us is a massive problem. Mbambu was by far their strongest defender. His pace and power made him extremely difficult to beat 1v1, yet every time we went forward we had to go down his side.

I havent read every page, but Fellaini hand balled it to get it in the right spot to shoot, so lucky with the goal.

Hard to understand why some people cannot see that things just dont work under Jose and that he's at fault for the shit shows. If you have your 2nd shot on target in the second half against a poor team, then there should be no other excuses than the manager is shit
