Apologies my bad. It was supposed to read I wasn't referencing the performances. Auto speller messed up the post. How was he deflecting from a poor performance if the performance wasn’t poor though?

Because the counter argument is that the players are, at the very least, equally to blame. The question is who's to blame, because if the manager has won everything with a different group of players, perhaps he can do the same if the right players are brought in.Who cares what went before, it only matters what's happening now.

He's so insecure. Others should be gushing about your achievements rather than you needing to remind them.
Or, we have eyes?
Lose = Jose out
Win but don't play the way fans want = Jose out
Show's some passion on the sidelines = what a classless manager, Jose out
Criticises players who are clearly not performing to their/Utd standards = how dare he, Jose out
Makes jokes in a press conference = un-funny, Jose out
I really wonder if Utd 'fans' know what supporting their team really means? This place is just negative nonsense these days.
My god, you guys are a humorless lot! Missed a bunch of chances, deservedly won the game in 91st minute, qualified to the next round with a game in hand, the manger does a hilarious "message to my lovers" quote, and you just moan and moan and moan.
Is nobody noticing an improvement in the passing in the last several matches, including this last match? Is nobody appreciating that he's playing your darlings Martial and Rashford, and Fred tonight? Nothing!
You keep complaining about the "unpleasant atmosphere" around the club, while continuing to perpetuate it.
It means wanting the best for your club. Pretty sure that’s the root of the desire to get rid of Mourinho. That people are overexcited is simply a sign of how much they care.
The problem is, some are starting to let their hate for Mourinho exceed their love for the club. He's just a manager who is going to leave sooner more than later.
Football invokes that level of emotion in people. I’ve seen people come to blows over United before now. Besides, this is the place people come to vent, so we see people at their most extreme.
Watching the highlights (I didn't watch the game) I don't get what the moaning is all about. If finishing was any good it would've been a comfortable victory.

I reached to a point IDK what is wrong with us! Is it players or managers or both? and really Dont know what could fix us?
Fair enough. So we have a team full of championship.![]()

I would love to see one of our training sessions, seems like not much happening.honestly what on earth are we doing in training?
That is pretty much what I think as well.
I am sure lots will say it is simple; sack the manager.
If it is really as simple as that then why not.
But is it that simple??? really???
If it was, wouldn’t it have worked when we sacked Moyes? Or when we sacked lvg? Three managers deep and we still have largely the same problems. I think Jose brings his own baggage with him, but we have something wrong and I don’t see how another new manager is going to do anything but give us that ‘new manager’ boost that all teams get. Even Moyes started off to winning ways before it all turned to shit.
I have mixed feelings about this.
On one side he got us to second last season which despite the style of play was a pretty good achievement.
On the other I have to say that I dislike his man management techniques. To get the very best out of people they must really want to perform for you; something he achieved at Chelsea the first time.
What I don't understand is why we are so inconsistent this season.
In a thread about a match we won? Why would anybody be complaining about the result? People are not complaining about the result in this thread. You're first paragraph doesn't make sense to me, because people are complaining about results. It's results they're complaining about. Your paragraph even circles back around to it. 7th position is a reflection of results. You're then happy to dismiss our best result this season as a freak. Performances will always be 2nd to results in top level sport. You're happy to count luck as a factor in the CL, but in the group stages it's no more important than it is in the league. I'm not saying we're amazing, we're far from it ATM... but if we can't be happy about qualifying for the last 16, then we possibly don't deserve to be happy if we turn our season around.
I cannot name one player who has improved under Mourinho.
Luke Shaw
Victor Lindelof
Chris Smalling
Marouane Fellaini
Anthony Martial
Attendance was 72,876 according to BBC, who are they trying to kid.. The Football is dire and I cant understand why they haven't booted him out yet, its only going to get worse.
Lindelof was shaky on arrival and not ready for the PL. In a little over a season he has become a quality starter with the potential to become a World Class defender. Martial was lazy as f*** under LVG and has massively improved his workrate now he has a manager who isn't bothered about being his mate.
The only one I'd agree with there is Luke Shaw. Even then I think a lot of his improvement is down to the fact that he has stayed free of injuries and is a lot fitter rather than anything Jose has done (though perhaps Jose will have improved his tactical appreciation).Luke Shaw
Victor Lindelof
Chris Smalling
Marouane Fellaini
Anthony Martial
Ok, it’s great to get through but feck me really? It’s painful and some of Mourinhos decisions are beyond the pale, he took Fred off which for me was our best player and when he came off we seemed to go to shit. Some of his decisions seem designed to get himself the sack, it’s fecking weird.
Some say Martial and Felaini are the ones that keep mourinho in his job.
