Because the counter argument is that the players are, at the very least, equally to blame. The question is who's to blame, because if the manager has won everything with a different group of players, perhaps he can do the same if the right players are brought in.

By that logic your comments about what great goal scorers these players were previously are irrelevant too. I cannot absolve Jose of blame for our lack of cohesion in the attacking third, we clearly need more work on attacking movement and patterns of play to support our forwards. I do however feel that the individual failures of players to execute the basics of their position such as hitting the target when through on goal is 100% on the player.
Simply put everyone has to improve significantly before the end of the season. Coaches and players. If, and it is a big if at this point, we can tighten up our control of games and start to show cohesion in the attacking third then we can finish the season strong and with something to build on. If that does not happen then it is time for major surgery and I would advocate replacing not just the manager but a lot of the players too and be prepared for a true revolution to take a couple of seasons to bear fruit.

Is nobody noticing an improvement in the passing in the last several matches, including this last match? Is nobody appreciating that he's playing your darlings Martial and Rashford, and Fred tonight? Nothing!

It means wanting the best for your club. Pretty sure that’s the root of the desire to get rid of Mourinho. That people are overexcited is simply a sign of how much they care.

I cannot name one player who has improved under Mourinho.
Football invokes that level of emotion in people. I’ve seen people come to blows over United before now. Besides, this is the place people come to vent, so we see people at their most extreme.
And no one can prevent anyone from expressing their opinion the way they like. It's just annoying imo. The same happened under LVG too, when people were hoping for us to lose for him to get sacked. I don't think any manager is that important imo.
The problem is that people want to moan and somehow blame Jose for the bad finishing.
The MCFC debacle was Jose's fault. He set us up so that our attackers had no chance, but yesterday, he set us up to attack. The fact that our attackers could not score, cannot be put on Jose.
If I were a striker, I'd stay back for extra training drills on finishing. That's on me. I must want to be the best.
Rashford had a stinker yesterday - it really is simple as that.

We have a team of overrated players who have downed tools cos they dont like a manager who publically hangs them out to dry. Its a recipe for disaster and the club will suffer on and off the pitch as a result.
We need a strong manager who's teams play with intensity and creative flair. We need to retain key players and lose those who have served us well but who's time is now up.

Yesterday the only fault for me in Jose was selecting Matic. I think anyone else would have a much better job than Matic. Otherwise we should have scored about 5 goals. Rashford missed so much. I mean he didn't even hit the target. Fellaini missed one and Mata another long with Lukaku's header. All these should have at least hit the target along with the 5 missed by Rashford. At this level no team can afford to miss so many easy chances. Yes there were easy chances at this level of football.
That is pretty much what I think as well.

Full of? No. A lot of mid table performers? IMO, yes. Look at lingard yesterday, just flat out lazy sometimes. There’s Rashford bombing down the wing, martial is making a little bit of effort to come in from the opposite wing. And in the middle, lingard. fecking jogging up the middle. Later again Rashford passes the ball to martial, there’s a deflection or it was just a bad pass. Martial sulks, Rashford drops a fecking gear and gets to his own pass. Martial close, better position to have gotten the ball. Nope, it didn’t come to feet so I’m not bothering. Martial can have all the talent in the world, but his work ethic it terrible. Rashford, for all his short comings at least gives 110%. He doesn’t give a feck what Jose says about him, he gets on with it and tries to prove the manager wrong.
As for the rest. Jones, not tactically aware enough. Gets injuries too often while making last ditch saves he should need to be making. Smalling, too hit and miss. Sometimes he great, others he’s just straight up shit. Matic...needs a rest at the very least. Couldn’t tell you if he’s past it because he’s too fecked to know for sure. Young and Valencia, past their prime. What they can offer isn’t what it used to be. Fellaini, a big lump that gets in the way. Somehow grabs important goals, but as a footballer, very limited. Lukaku, I’ve never seen him as a headliner for any top team. Don’t know what he’s doing here to be honest. Darmian, rojo, are two that should have been sold long ago.
I don’t want to slag anyone off, they’ve all done their best. I refuse to call any player for us dead wood. But a lot of them need to be moving on, others really should have already been moved on.
I think right now amongst most fans Jose has reached the point of no return (myself included), so anything he does will be wrong.
Perhaps the caf been so 'negative' is just another reflection of the managers personalty.

If it was, wouldn’t it have worked when we sacked Moyes? Or when we sacked lvg? Three managers deep and we still have largely the same problems. I think Jose brings his own baggage with him, but we have something wrong and I don’t see how another new manager is going to do anything but give us that ‘new manager’ boost that all teams get. Even Moyes started off to winning ways before it all turned to shit.
I have mixed feelings about this.
On one side he got us to second last season which despite the style of play was a pretty good achievement.
On the other I have to say that I dislike his man management techniques. To get the very best out of people they must really want to perform for you; something he achieved at Chelsea the first time.
What I don't understand is why we are so inconsistent this season.
Jose has a good squad to use some good talents at least we should play better football front of the likes of Young Boys and Crystal Palace!! What I see is most of the players are not capable of showing their best maybe due to some tactics or some confidence issues. But what I am sure of Jose has to stop talking about his achievements and focus how to re motivate those boys, That's something I can not see he is doing. He likes to publicly criticize this and that.

Maybe it’s just me, but if he was talking shit about me, I’d be wanting to prove him wrong. Rashford for example looks like he wants to prove him wrong. But lingard, looks like he can’t be bothered.
IMO, if was the devil himself and all of the negative things that were said about were true, I still don’t think sacking just him would make any long term difference to us. I think if we did get someone new in, we’d just be moaning about them in 2/3 years time.

People are complaining about the standard of play. That some players can seem to walk around all match for most of the season and start and finish every match while others can have a bad moment in 1 game and you never hear of them again. That we spent most of the second half hoofing the ball up the pitch hoping somebody would get on the end of it.
Attendance was 72,876 according to BBC, who are they trying to kid.. The Football is dire and I cant understand why they haven't booted him out yet, its only going to get worse.

Lindelof was out of favour until a few weeks ago. Martial had his best season (so far) under LVG.
When you listen to comments from fans at the match, they mention the empty seats in the ground.
Lindelof was shaky on arrival and not ready for the PL. In a little over a season he has become a quality starter with the potential to become a World Class defender. Martial was lazy as f*** under LVG and has massively improved his workrate now he has a manager who isn't bothered about being his mate.
Massive overreaction that statement. Far too early to label him either of those things based on little more than a handful of decent games. His best work has come in Europe, in the PL he has a long way to go before he can called a quality starter. He is still one of our weakest links, even improving as he is.
The only one I'd agree with there is Luke Shaw. Even then I think a lot of his improvement is down to the fact that he has stayed free of injuries and is a lot fitter rather than anything Jose has done (though perhaps Jose will have improved his tactical appreciation).
Victor Lindelof was presumably already a decent player, else why would Mourinho have signed him, so at best he's now got back to the level he was at before joining us.
Chris Smalling was probably at his best a few years ago, and it's hard to see how Mourinho's very public vote of no confidence in the defence would have benefited his game.
Marouane Fellaini is just performing as he always has, which is generally quite well in my view. Mourinho acknowledged as much while he was at Chelsea both in the way he set his team up to play against us, and in his interviews before and after the game.
Anthony Martial had his best season under LVG (as someone else has already noted), back in the days when he still knew how to smile.
That's why Mourinho was going ape sh*t at the end, trashing the bottle case. Fellaini had ruined his master plan of getting us knocked out of the CL, which would have got him the sack and receive a big pay-off.
Some say Martial and Felaini are the ones that keep mourinho in his job.
DDG is the one who has constantly kept Mourinho in his job.
