Question Time & This Week

So on QT last night Claire Perry outright called Jeremy Corbyn an Anti Semite.

I thought there would be at least a mention of it today as it is at the very least unprofessional and probably slander.

Yet, all I can see today is that she accused David Dimbleby of hating it when women talk.

So, if anybody still question the obvious BBC bias towards the Conservative party then I can only conclude that this country is fecked.
It was a very poor display by Dimbleby last night. He clearly thinks Gardiner is an idiot and treated him completely differently from the other panellists. The thing is it's not his job to make decisions like that, his job is to ask the questions, moderate fairly, and let us make our own minds up who we think are idiots, and who are not.

For the record I think Gardiner is an idiot too, but I'm a viewer not a supposedly independent chairman.

I agree. Dimbleby had no control at all last night.

Gardiner is an odd one. I kind of like his views but at the same time I get the distinct impression they're not wholly his. Last night it seemed to me that he hadn't done any research. To be fair to him though I don't think he is helped by Labour's wishy washy Brexit policy.

Gardiner gives the best summary I've seen of Labour's six tests, though.

Where are they this week? Call for a second referendum just got a surprisingly big cheer.

Penzance. Cornwall was quite brexit, but I think the beeb try and keep it even in the audience.

I thought that too. Remainers need to be a whole lot cleverer though, they need to figure a way to get the EU to define what a Remain vote would mean. Same terms of membership as now or not? Without that information there's little chance they would win a Remain vote anyway.

Haha no shit, I grew up just down the road.

Yeah it’s quite Brexit with the older generations and particularly the fishermen and farmers.

Strangely attracted to Layla Moran.

If you see her grab her by the pussy

I’ll treat her with absolute respect, take her out for a meal, be a perfect gentleman, insist on dropping her home first in the taxi and see she gets in ok and send her a text message when I get home complimenting her and thanking her for a wonderful evening and then follow up with 20 odd cock shots profiling ever single angle of my magnificent gooch.

I don't know if I'm getting paranoid but Dimbleby seems to have carefully prepared points in advance to counter Labour woman, you can actually see him consulting his notes, in a way he's not for the others. It's probably my own bias, is it?

I get so angry watching because I just cannot believe how no one is challenging that Spoon buffoon about leaving with no deal. Idiots will think its ok despite the total girdlock not only to the economy but literally to the whole country that would ensue. Why are these statements left unchallenged?

It'll only be short-term and then everything will be ok and recover.*

*View of my Brexiteer mother, who knows zip about the economy

But its a complete standstill. No deal and everything ceases on 30th March. It's not fecking scaremongering, planes, trains, cars, lorries, ships cannot travel to EU there would be gridlock on M20 and eventually M25 and further. The country would be completely paralysed and when this happens those morons like Tim think the EU will call because they want our fish or they want our money. It's so ludicrous its unreal that these people are given a platform to adovcate this and are left unchallenged.

I will say something here which is not public knowlege but as part of no deal contingency planning there are certain scenarios and triggers where martial law would be declared. That is unreal for the United Kingdom in 2019. We are absolutely not prepared for no deal and it is absolutely insane if it were to happen by accident or on purpose. Anyone that advocates no deal is either a complete moron or a calculated individual that wants to see the destabilisation of our country. I wouldn't be surprised if foreign powers have greased up individuals to push this narrative to the moronic masses and if true I hope full investigations are conducted and these traitors are shot or hung!!!

Oh yeah, it's going to be unprecedented. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm on hols in Hong Kong or Thailand (can't remember which way round they are) when it happens, so feck knows if the flight will run etc...Every investment manager going will be shorting sterling, it will be a bloodbath.

A woman asked SC what Labour's view on Brexit is and she completely ignored the question then when she finally did, it was immediately debunked.
Then whines that she wasn't being allowed to speak.

I thought it was going to be more fractious tonight tbh. Has apathy now overtaken anger? Feck knows.
You've gotta wait for This Week these days to really see the despair.

Radio 4 just played a clip of Mogg reminding Dimbleby that he went to school with his son, at Eton. It's bad enough Eton is so massively over-represented in a parliament that's supposed to be for the whole country but how can the BBC possibly justify appointing another one of the cnuts as the supposedly impartial chairman of their flagship political discussion program?

That guy who said that our service men and, women died for our right to vote, so if we have a second referendum they'd have died for nothing

What a moron

Absolute twat.

I'm glad there is a break of QT now because every Thursday I get so angry watching I cannot sleep for a while after.

Davis started saying that we're world leaders in technology and if we stay in European Union they will look after their interests and we won't be anymore. I cannot for the life of me understand how claims like that are left unchallenged. Why didn't anyone ask him if that was the case then how did we become world leaders in the first place? And whats more we would also be in the European Union so we would ensure that our interests are looked after.

The bollocks that these Brexit people spout is truly astounding. I hope Fiona is going to come down on them like a ton of bricks!

DD's last QT.

Crying shame and doubly so that he's being replaced by the head shaking "let me instruct you in how to feel about this" Fiona Bruce.

Wark or Maitlis off Newsnight would have been preferable for me.

Maitlis should have definitly been in the running, no nonsense everytime she grills someone, doesn't let them get away with shit. Evan too.

I don't know too much about Fiona, I have never seen her on any political shows to be honest.
