The Championship 2018/19 - Play-off final

I doubt when Leeds went down in 2004 even the most one eyed Man. United fan (or hater of Leeds United) would've have thought it would be 2019 until they came back to the premier league.

They've had misery in these leagues for 15 years. Mad to think there's Leeds fans approaching 20 who've never seen them play a top flight match live.

It's time they can back and as long as Bielsa remains at the helm they can enhance the league not just in status but with how they play like Wolves have.

What a turnaround.

Have to say the Championship is where it's at this season.
The Championship is very entertaining with so many clubs being able to finish in the top six. It is much more physical than the premier league with less playacting after a tackle

Of couse I want to get back in the premier league but finally this season I've seen what an enjoyable league the championship can be. We had a 5-5 just the other week.

Seeing a team like Everton spend 100m + and still lose 6-2 at home to Spurs and struggle to even finish 6th does dispirit you a bit in what can be achievable once you get promoted although Leicester miracle will still give hope to fans.

I know you were on the wrong end of it today but for me as a football fan you just don't get better entertainment than that. Both teams pushing for the win right to the last minute. Excellent football game !!

Its funny cos I reckon 10-15 years ago, most people would probably have had Everton, Villa and Spurs at about the same level. Shows what an excellent job Levy has done imo.

Must have been a galling watch that for you, always sickening to see your team lose in the last minute.

I know this is likely to get me lynched on here...but I'd love to see Leeds back up in the league. And I want a new set of teams, who haven't been up for a while so Sheffield Utd and Nottingham Forest wouldn't be amiss either. Norwich, Boro, West Brom, Derby...not so much.

We'd have gotten away with it if it was 2-2. Top 2 would've been long shot even if we'd won. Play offs shouldn't be although no guarentee as seen last year.

Levy learnt from the 2007-08 period. Sacking Jol mid season and then appointing Ramos. O.k he won you the league cup but your league form under him was terrible, think you won about 8 games in a full year over two seasons and so we got to the infamous 2 points from 8 game start.

Maybe I'm going OTT a little but get the managerial appointment wrong after Ramos and you could easily have been in a serious relegation battle all season, Newcastle went down in the end and they were above Spurs for a large chunk of that season.

For all the fun poked at 'arry he quickly got Spurs back as top 6 regulars.

We completely lost our way after MON quit.

Everton stayed roughly the same. A few poor seasons but also plenty of 5th-8th finishes.

Well, at least these spellings are phonectic and make sense compared to the mess that is English orthography!

Still funny though. Why would they change the spellings for the latin-script version of Serbian?

My favourite is Šruzberi from League 1!

But is it pronounced Srewzberi or Srowszberi?

Love the Championship. I’d say it’s close to being one of the top 10 leagues in Europe.

Caught my attention that Tyler Blackett has been sent off inside 10 minutes for Reading.

Norwich losing, while Leeds win. WBA winning as well so they would be just 2 points behind the 2nd spot. Middlesbrough and Derby are down, instead. Birmingham-Stoke 1-0, Bolton-Rotherham 1-1, Bristol City-Brentford 1-0, Millwall-Reading 1-0, Preston-Hull 0-1, Q.P.R.-Ipswich 2-0 and Swansea-Aston Villa 0-0.

Looks like a fun end to Leeds - Blackburn game:

What a game in Norwich! The Canaries equalize right at the end! Leeds and WBA still take advantage of it though. Sheffield United win as well, as Birmingham City and Aston Villa. Both are in the playoffs zone now. Bolton-Rotherham 2-1, Bristol City-Brentford 1-1, Middlesbrough-Sheffield Wednesday 0-1, Millwall-Reading 1-0, Preston-Hull City 1-2 andQ.P.R.-Ipswich Town 3-0.

What the heck happened to Nottingham Forest?!?! They are 3-1 up against Norwich after 90 mins!!

Norwich always get ridiculous amount of injury time at Carrow Road for some reason. 8 minutes today, 7 minutes v Millwall.

West Brom will get second imo. They are only 3 points off them now I think.

And people used to complain about Fergie time;):p

Norwich has had a soft run of fixtures recently.

Their next 7 games are Derby, Brentford, West Brom, Birmingham, Sheff Utd, Ipswich derby and Leeds at Elland Road. If the wheels don't come off during that run then they should be set for promotion.

Our Balkan tour continues....we're close to signing Nemanja Radoja from Celta Vigo.

Was trying to remember if he played for Serbia in the World cup but in any case he's been a regular in Celta's midfield in La Liga last few seasons so certainly more than good enough for the level we're at now.

Birm'ham 0 - 0 Brentford
Bolton 0 - 0 Stoke
Bristol C 1 - 0 Rotherham

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Leeds 0 - 2 Hull City :D:D:D:D:D:D:D Mauled by the Tigers

M'boro 2 - 0 Ipswich
Millwall 1 - 0 N Forest
Norwich 3 - 2 Derby (L) Floodlight failure.
Preston 1 - 1 A Villa
QPR 0 - 0 Reading
Sheff Utd 3 - 0 Blackburn
Swansea 2 - 2 Wigan
W Brom 1 - 1 Sheff Wed

Leeds lost at home, but Norwich shoot themselves in the feet by conceding 2 late goals. Only a draw for WBA. The Baggies lost a great chance to go only 3 points behind Leeds and Norwich. Sheffield United and Middlesbrough win, instead. Bristol City and Millwall win as well. Birmingham-Brentford 0-0, Preston-Aston Villa 1-1, Q.P.R.-Reading 0-0 and Swansea-Wigan 2-2.

Hopefully the beginning of a Leeds collapse. Needed stoppage time winners in their previous 2 games so this has been coming.

Do we have any Millwall fans here. How is Jake cooper a center back and scored 4 goals + 6 assists?
He is 23 years and Slippy G is after him and there is so much interest in him.

I had no idea Yannick Bolasie was playing for Villa down in the Championship

Surely he's good enough for a Prem team still?

We could do with him back for some competition for Walcott and the rest who are being allowed to get away with murder atm.

I'll say it till I'm blue in the face.......play Lookman!!!!
