Varchester City 18/19 discussion

Pep Guardiola is my idol status?

They'll be equal then, but won't that look like, somewhat underwhelming ? Expectations for Pep are higher than for Pellegrini anyway.

Yup, but the difference will be Pep had to rebuild (admittedly with a lot of money), a squad that Pelligrini tore apart. 1 league in 3 season will be a poor return though 100%, if we get 90+ points and don't win it'd be acceptable and I'll give him a pass, if we fall away into one of those nothing seasons (like Pelligrini's final season) he should have a lot to answer for.

Pep will now steal Allegri' job after he's won the treble at Juventus, only to underachieve again.

Pep will start losing it again soon like he does when his team aren’t winning, throws his toys out of the pram like we’ve seen numerous times in the past.

Yup and he'll leave for the next team. Preferably a team that doesn't have to compete for the title.

Guardiola as a footballing 'genius' should have realised that balance is vital in football. Throughout 38 games a weak area will eventually cost you points, and in their case it's the Fernandinho position. He should have used Foden/Diaz more instead of splashing cash on Mahrez, and instead buy a CDM.

Fernandinho is key for this team, they desperately need some backup to him.

Annoyingly scary times if that does happen. Hopefully someone else would improve enough to not allow Liverpool multiple league titles. It'd be typically scouse to hit that bit of luck though.

They've completely fallen apart. Thanks for stumbling the one year we didn't want you to, City and Pep.

Can’t believe people actually think they won’t win the league.

They’ll smash Liverpool next week and probably drop another four points all season.
What? You're shocked that people think the team 7 points behind the leaders won't win the league?

Okay then.

"Dead man's pants."

There are more Man United fans supporting City than City fans supporting City.:lol:

Topics of discussion in thread:

1. Financial doping
2. Baldiola/Fraudiola

The Liverpool game is a must win for City. Liverpool need to go to Old Trafford as well. It's out of City's hand at the moment but they could well work their way back. Tall order at the moment.

I think it's a blip and Liverpool will have one too at some point. There's far too much quality in that City squad for them to drop out of the title race at this stage.

They've lost 3 out of their last 4 games and look absolutely terrible, their display against Palace was Moyes esque. The chances of these wasters "Smashing" Liverpool who havn't lost a single game so far and only conceded 6 is very slim, actually I think Liverpool will win and extend their lead further. With the shit form City are in I think they need to worry about beating Southampton next before even thinking about Liverpool.

If Liverpool end up winning which I know they will then at least there is one positive thing we could hope for and that is a complete collapse by City. Feck these useless dossers making it so easy for Liverpool with this team they have, bunch of absolute frauds. Hope the Sheik fecks off and they start scraping for relegation again.

Is this really all due to Fernandino?

Yes and no. Without him we open up for all comers like a cheap whores legs but also once things start to go wrong we tend to crap the bed a little (a lot really) and just do stupid thing after stupid thing defensively and panic in front of goal.

The attitude of City fans already conceding the title half way through the season, feck off.

City broke records last year and were on track to meet them again this season.. there's still half a fecking season left. Useless blue cnuts need to suck it up and win the league.

And you call yourself a City fan? Giving up to the dippers before January is ridiculous. I don't want to see either of you win it but only a fool would write off City after a couple of poor results.

We've been awful for weeks. Liverpool were a point behind and are now seven clear (of us), and have clawed back 15 goal difference in five games. We're clearly not matching them.

Long way to go and every title-winning side has a run of poor form the season after. I would trust Guardiola to rectify the problem.

They lost the "invincible" tag and evidently, their opponents are showing more confidence.

Their lack of proper full backs is a full issue.

In all seriousness what has gone wrong? Is it all Fernandinho absence or is there something else.
. They looked invincible not so long ago. Atm it looks like we could catch them before they catch Liverpool

City lost 2 matches since Ole set foot in Manchester. Coincidence? I think not

Not so long ago it was 4 points and I was thinking we were never going to catch up since you were winning every game. To cut the GD so quickly and get ahead by 7 points has surprised me.

I haven't been watching their games, but from what I hear KDB has not been performing well since his return from injury.

I’m sure they wanted Jorginho in the summer....presumably to rotate/takeover from Fernandinho in that position. Thing is, I don’t think Jorginho could have done that role. They’d have been better going for Tolisso or someone of that more athletic, combative nature
