In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik (@Rood) is joined by CEO Duncan Drasdo and Financial Director Andy Green from the Manchester United Supporters Trust for a special episode on all things behind the scenes at Old Trafford including a brief history of MUST and their aims today, views on INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe so far, and the Old Trafford regeneration.
It is, but its also a bit naive, but I'm sure we won't have that approach against the big teams. We should just be going out and doing our thing against the teams we're expected to beat, and it's pathetic how we didn't do that the last two and a half years.
It's working well. Media is giving him an easy ride and other managers might even underestimate his tactical abilities. He clearly knows what he's doing and longer people take to realize it, the better.
Think it's also the lack of understanding in the media in general - unless you're managing in one of the major European Leagues they just don't have a clue. The guys in the less funded leagues might earn nothing compared to their PL equivalents but there are a host of international players in the Norwegian League and, especially relevant for Ole's experience, these clubs are regularly in the Europa League and occasionally get through playoffs into the CL.
Media can't do anything but give him an easy ride so long as we keep winning the way we are. You know damn well they'll be on him like vultures at the first opportunity, just like any Utd manager.
I'd assume some of it is for the media and he's not actually revealing what his plans are. In the modern day, even Moyes would have his teams watch more than 2 clips of the oppo.
Ole is probably exaggerating things for impact, as no doubt we do focus more on not compromising on our own style.
Amazing what happens when you don't make every press conference Trump-esque. Always helps to have the media on your side.
We aren't stupid, we clearly will know what the opponents strengths are.
What he means is "we will see what they will do, but we won't bend our plan to stop theirs".
Mourinho was all about stopping the opposition first, then finding a goal. We will now look to score a goal, then stop the opposition.
This is a whole new ball game. Many would argue his only "proper" experience has been Cardiff.
I think the likes of Sun and Mirror are just waiting to pounce obviously. But more reputable journos are probably just as glad as the fans to not have to sit through Mourinho interviews. Ole treats them well and I fully expect most of the media to give us positive publicity for rest of the season.

All I can see is Ole behaving and dealing with his "caretaking" role like a pro. I was really unsure by his appointment but I have to say I'm totally sold on him now and long for the next match every day. Only hours now, fortunately. Such a great feeling. Thanks Ole, for bringing the fun and excitement back!

I'm just saying there is a massive gap between Molde-->Cardiff and then Man United. He's in the same playground as Pep, Klopp and Poch now. I can understand why the media would label him as inexperienced. I don't have a problem with it. He's inexperienced so what. He's still pretty damn good!
You can argue that OGS has not proven himself as he had not reached the top echelons of football with other big clubs. But he fits into the Man Utd so perfectly and the impact he brought with him in short space of time is massive. Fans should back him fully as he had earned his chance to prove that he can compete for top honors with Man Utd.
Big decisions for Ole at half time. We should really be winning this and it looks like we need an injection of pace and power, particularly down the right side. Be interesting to see if/how early he makes any changes.
If he fails to identify the right side as a major weakness and in turn do anything about it, that'll be the first question mark raised

I am just amazed at what Ole has achieved in such a short period of time.
I know we can still attribute most of it to the effect of relief everyone in the club is feeling after Mourinho sacking, but I do think that there is much more than that. Our players finally have someone they love, someone who knows what this club is and can transmit that feeling to the players. That's the first step of building solid foundations for the future.
Now, even if we look at things from the perspective that Ole still hasn't attempted any major tactical changes to the squad (I don't really think so, but even if it were true), do you think players would fail to obey once he does try? I don't think so, in Ole they finally have someone they might be willing to put their head through wall if needed.
Finally proud of this club again, didn't think I'd get the chance to say it this early into Ole's reign.

Not bad for someone whose only management experience has been being a big failure in Wales. Clearly should have got Sparky or Brucey in.
Valencia was a mistake but his subs won us the game. Another great management for him. Our counters also looked to be improving.

Watching him go over to the fans and players at the end brought tears to my eyes.
Regardless of how the rest of the season goes, the worry is that whoever gets the job full time can’t possibly recreate this buzz that we’re experiencing as a club under Ole at the moment.
