Solkjaer deserves credit for Rashford. He has benched Lukaku, in favour of Rashford.
Martial has not actually improved. He is the same as he was under Jose.
Lindelof was already improving under Jose and I see no difference, now that Solkjaer has arrived.
The difference that Solkjaer has brought is our style of play. The focus on attack, against smaller teams.
We've only played 1 big team since he arrived and we were pinned in our own half, relying on DDG's brilliance to keep us in the match. Solkjaer should not be given credit for this. In the 2nd half, Spurs cut through our midfield like it was nothing and were taking pot shots at our goal, with some ease. Poch changed the tide of the match at half time and that is something which he can take credit for. The way Spurs attacked us, was brutal and we had no tactic to counter this.
Poch would later go on to admit that the 2nd half performance was the best he has seen Spurs play, under him.
I don’t think this is recency bias and I’ll try to be as objective as possible. Here’s what I want from the manager of Man Utd in the format of a question and answer session.
Q. Does he have a love for the club?
A. Yes. For me he is a club legend. His peak career coincided with the greatest manager of all times greatest moments. He bleeds united.
Q. Will the players respect him?
A. Yes, he’s been there and done it as a professional. The entire squad will respect him and there can be no sulking from players who aren’t picked because it’s solskjaer, arguably the most recognizable impact player from the bench in the history of the game. No-one can say the phrase “you have to be ready to take your chance when it comes” with more conviction than Ole.
Q. Does he get the best out of players on the pitch?
A. It sure looks that way. The level of talent he now has at his disposal far succeeds what he had at Cardiff and in Norway but in 6 games we’ve seen improvement from too many players for it to be coincidence. He’s playing to each individuals strengths and it’s working for the benefit of the team.
Q. Is he tactically sound?
A. Yes, as proved against Tottenham. I said it in the match thread the day before the game that spurs play very narrow and you need to get at them in the spaces vacated by the fullbacks, and Ole executed this to perfection. We absolutely battered them in that first half yesterday and it was down to Ole and his teams tactics. The celebration from the coaching staff after the goal was basically them saying “IT WORKED!”
Q. Can he attract big names
A. The jury is out on this one because we don’t know, but right now I don’t think big players would want to come just because of Ole (unless they are united fans). If he keeps the style up and achieves top 4, then players will be looking at him as an up and coming brilliant manager who very clearly gets along with players. We offer one of the biggest stages in the world to perform on, but whether or not Ole can be the reason players want to join remains to be seen.
There are other pre requisites but for me these are the main ones. The guy has 6 wins out of 6 and the best form in the premiership right now. Yes he had a great run of fixtures but every top team has had easier teams in recent weeks, so the 100% start should be heralded for what it is, a fecking miracle compared to where we come from.
I’ll wait and see how he responds to adversity before I give my final seal of approval but right now if I’m making the decisions in the summer, Solskjaer is the number 1 candidate.

Most important point is Ole has got the team playing football the United Way.
Sure we will lose games now and then.
Sure we need some additions.
The key though is we have now got the set up to bring us success.
I don't see any other manager coming here and improving on how we are playing now.
He did a magnificent job till now, he brought the players together, playing with good spirit, him and Phelan know exactly what the player in a United shirt should do, and that was an excellent decision to bring these two for this time. But giving Ole the job permanently, is still too early really, first Ole needs to show how he can handle with Ed and the glazers, we surely need some additions in this window, second we need to see Ole in big nights how he can do like he did VS Spurs it wasn't so good actually although we won but in another day they could have scored 4 or so, IMO Ole is absolutely genius on how he made these players act together again and play freely, positive attacking football, and want to win every game, but for me as permanent he still has lot lot to prove.
I was listening to John Giles and he was saying that this could just be the honeymoon period after Jose's sacking and that the players are just reacting to being happy again.
We really have to judge Ole at the end of the season.
These so called experts are absolute fecking prats if you ask me.I was listening to John Giles and he was saying that this could just be the honeymoon period after Jose's sacking and that the players are just reacting to being happy again.

That was directly after Fergie. A few weeks ago, I couldn't see any decent player wanting to come to a club that looked like it had no direction, no leadership, no spirit, regardless of the name and the reputation.Nice summary, however the whole ''can he attract top players'' is a bit of a moot point. Manchester United will always attract big names, we signed Juan Mata from Chelsea under David Moyes.
I think there's a little bit of wishful thinking going on at the moment. Of course we all want Ole to do well enough to be appointed, and as a result a lot of people are confusing what they want with what is actually happening.
I want to see how the team responds to our first significant defeat before I make any judgement. No doubt he's done immensely so far, and I was very impressed with our approach at Spurs. But I'm still a good 2 months of saying definitively that I want him full-time.

So in the next two months whilst we are fighting on all fronts you want us to experience a significant defeat?
Weird.
In fairness it’s kind of inevitable we’ll be defeated at least once now until the end if the season, it’d be fairly unrealistic to think otherwise, no?
Not only that, it was about 30 minutes, not even a full half when they finally got a grip of the game, at home, when our players were fecked. Pochettino > mastermind || Solskjaer > lucky. That’s a bizarre fecking post.
Poch gets credit for Spurs second half performance (when they didn’t score) but you won’t give Ole any credit for the first half performance (when we did score) that forced Pocchetino to change his opening formation/tactics.
Have a word with yourself.
We were out of the Champions League when Pogba joined us, we'll always get big names because we're Man Utd and we pay big wages.Nice summary, however the whole ''can he attract top players'' is a bit of a moot point. Especially if we keep playing like this and go further in the CL.We were out of the Champions League when Pogba joined us, we'll always get big names because we're Man Utd and we pay big wages.
Of course we will and we'll most likely bounce back right away. I'm also intrigued to see how we'll deal with a lull in motivation but I'm also confident the staff know exactly what they're doing. In fairness it’s kind of inevitable we’ll be defeated at least once now until the end if the season, it’d be fairly unrealistic to think otherwise, no?
The PSG tie is a chance to announce our intention moving forward. We win that tie and it will be impossible to rule Solskjaer out as the full time manager. The world will be watching and players will be saying to themselves 'I want to be part of that', that of course is if we look great or we win.Especially if we keep playing like this and go further in the CL.

LMA bound to come out now following that Ince rubbish making some claim about racism being the reason he won't be Man Utd boss.
I don't want us to at all, but we will, no team can keep winning forever. I want to see if, when it inevitably happens, we bounce back with a strong performance and go back to winning ways, or if we start to wobble and lose a few. That will tell me whether our current run is the real deal, or whether we've been in a post-Mourinho bubble. So in the next two months whilst we are fighting on all fronts you want us to experience a significant defeat?
Weird.
Exactly , people thinking we won’t attract big players cos Ole is manager is rubbish. The player looks at his 0’s in his contract compared to other clubs and signs. We were out of the Champions League when Pogba joined us, we'll always get big names because we're Man Utd and we pay big wages.
There was a very strong rumour going round at the time as I remember, that he had placed a bet with the local bookmaker against Utd., winning a certain game.John Giles has hated Manchester United from the day he got sold on the spot for arguing with Sir Matt. So I would not bother too much about his rants.
That was cliche, yet at the same time very rousing. There is no doubt in my mind, and after three managers that were not of the United mindset, OGS is the man.
Our greatness under SAF is that we always beat the teams we should beat. He made good players look great. We were ruthless.
A lot has been said about OGS not facing top clubs in his start as manager, but can any of us say that we were comfortable with mou winning those games?
Both LVG and Mou were big name hires. They failed. Our club is legend, our club is a way of life. A fight. A determination. A work ethic. OGS gets it.
Glory is Manchester Red!
