Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

That (foul on Sancho) is why VAR needs an additional challenge system that managers can choose where they want to risk wasting a challenge. If the ref watches that on a tv screen and doesn’t find a foul and a yellow then he’s either a very rich and bought man or he’s out of a job for the rest of the tournament.

Ah come on, feck off with this. Courtois was never going to get to that.

Excessive use of VAR here imho. Goal should have stood

You could hear the ref.. "again..again..stop, stop.." just give the ref a fecking ruler for the screen if it's too hard for him.

Spot on.

Like cricket has a referral/review system

How many ties over these winning years have they won because of refs? The Bayern games in particular are usually scandalous.

That’s never offside ffs. The player doesn’t go towards the ball...

Ref doesn’t know the rules

Lads stop being Liverpool fans, if you are good enough then refs don't even matter.

 Well played.

If Real win from here it’s not the ref’s fault that Ajax lost so stop moaning you stupid scousers

Sadly you don't understand offside rules.

The same happened last match day Dortmund against Hoffenheim and Freiburg vs Wolfsburg.
Sadly for Ajax the correct decision.

I'd say Dortmund have had the better of this so far.

Might be the correct decision by the rule book, but no way that ref would have ruled it offside if Real had scored that

"Clearly" . It was millimeters.
At least a few decimetres. Most decent refs wouldn’t have allowed it from the beginning but with VAR they allow everything and check it afterwards. Anyway, we could all see it was correct in the end.
