Premier League Gameweek 29

Bournemouth holding very firm to be honest, and with De Bruyne off City could find it hard to create in the second half. He was looking their most dangerous player on the ball.

Totally dominant as you'd expect, but really not carving out anything clear cut. Couple of dangerous set pieces (one at the end of the half by Mahrez in particular) but overall not too much.

On the other hand, Bournemouth offering nothing offensively.

Yeah Bournemouth are playing 2 banks behind the ball. Making it hard for City to find space.

You quoted me mid-week when I said Howe needs to change up his style of play v the Top 6 and stop being naive and wide open. Seems he finally done it?

I've watched Bournemouth a few times when they've played this way, I don't think they necessarily always play naively vs the top six, I just think that quite often the opposition manages to get a goal regardless and then they're forced to open up a bit and get caught out.

Today, thus far Ake has been imperious and City a little poor in the box. It's also hard to play the way Howe wants to vs City because they're so fantastic off the ball and simply choke teams in a fashion that sides like Liverpool can't do.

Ake is a quality footballer. Big error from Chelsea to let him go and I imagine he'll end up at a top six team within the next season or so.

I doubt Arsenal would pay what they'd ask, I'm not sure we'd need him, and lord knows on City... Think you'd go for him? Or will Chelsea do the good ol' resign for 4x the price.

Mahrez scores, Bournemouth finally broken down.

Poor, poor goalkeeping from Boruc. Beaten at the near post, it's at close range but it was far from a perfect hit.

Don't think we need another cb, Arsenal would be the best bet as they badly need defensive reinforcements but you may be right that they won't pay the fee.

He might end up going abroad, who knows.

No chance Southampton will go down. Actually interested to see what they do next season, think Hasselhuttl was their best managerial appointment since Pochenttino.

We've got a £40 mil buyback clause so it would "only" be 2x the price.

Man. United going back to 4th. Lukaku stepping up now under OGS.

This United Southampton game has had some cracking goals.

2-2 now.

Dunno why any Southampton player bothers to stand with him when there's a free kick. He's ridiculous at them.

Does Zaha deserve another chance at a big club? Not sure he would be worth the risk and Palace would demand a King's ransom.

Mahrez is useless and not for this level of football

Southampton having a really good spell atm, Man. United seem a bit flat to me today. Probably understandable playing every three days and all the injuries.

Lukaku gets destroyed on this forum and he's probably going to individually fire Man United into top 4.

At least City aren't looking invincible anymore.
