Premier League Gameweek 29

They must have lots of rivals because they seem to be permanently bent over

Other teams at least put up an effort against their city rivals, no matter how inferior they are on paper. Just look at WH in derbies vs the bigger London clubs. Everton's motto in these derbies is basically 'bend over and take'.

Bit harsh, they've had the odd good season under Martinez and Koeman in recent times. In 13/14 they were pretty good to watch and should've finished above Arsenal. Had all those solid seasons under Moyes.

They're a bit like Man. City were in the 2002-08 period. Remember all the good results they got against Man. United in that period despite having barely any money?

Well Everton are the exact opposite then aren't they?

They never beat Liverpool.

City had a lot of good wins against us despite being a load of shite.

Liverpool look more and more like they're playing Mourinho football these days.

Liverpool arent the same without Coutinho. How mad is that? Would the league be over?
Nothing mad, thank the pitch at OT for that! Well Liverpool is an over hyped team, we should have beaten them at home.

This is the worst Everton side I've seen in years which given the amount of investment is utterly damning

Has to be a better option than a short guy with no quality as a lone front man

Walcott looks absolutely zero threat either, it wasn't so long ago he would outpace anyone.

Definitely, he also has zero pace and gives TAA nothing to worry about. At least with Richarlison he wouldn’t be so gung-ho.

It's no wonder their fans get so angry. The minimum they should get is heart.

Calvert Lewin needs to go right, Richarlison needs to replace Walcott and play central.

Everton lack the physicality to go against Liverpool and win second balls.

This!

They have very little quality, and it's merely the occasion and the fact it's their big game even keeping them in.
An absolutely pointless club that I'd imagine you have to be over 40 to even remember them as a force.
I’d imagine their fans don’t think they're pointless.

And if we got rid of all of the pointless clubs, it would be just be Liverpool v United and City v Chelsea every season. No thanks.

It’s posts like that which give Utd fans a bad name.

Unless we sub a midfielder for an attacker we aren’t winning this. Absolutely zero quality

Liverpool being pragmatic and getting scruffy wins is actually more worrying than when they’re only capable of playing scintillating football and leaving gaps at the back.

If they get a dodgy 1-0 and the 3 points today, they appear to be a side that can win the league, pains me to say it.

Andre Gomes has to come on for Schneiderlin otherwise it’s only a matter of time until Liverpool score.

Its obvious henderson needs to be subbed. Literally thw worst 8 of all our midfielders.

I doubt it but maybe.

I was just confused how you thought Everton were like City 2002-2008 in the Derby.

Yeah was wrong example, I meant more as a club in their standing in things. City posted a few top 10 finishes in that era and as bad as Everton have been they could still finish top 10, are 10th despite being awful for months.

Not sure what they can do as they have spent 100s of millions and signed some decent players on paper. Guess it just shows how strong the top 6 have become as a unit, United taking half a season off and still looking secure for top 4, Arsenal losing a manager of 20 years and not dropping to 7th as United did under Moyes.

Tough for anyone to break that unless they have Leicester style season or a top club totally bombs like Chelsea in 15/16.

He's having a good game, seriously what are you watching?

I think Henderson is a very limited player, but I do think he gets unfair stick at times. This is not a bad performance from him.

Aye agree with all that.

I've been moaning about Everton today but really this is as good as we can expect.

Liverpool are a good side that's incredibly difficult to beat and Everton are basically rubbish with a massive inferiority complex against Liverpool. A 0-0 here would be a great result for those of us not wanting Liverpool to win the title.

You had Salah clean through on goal and will get more chances, especially as Everton begin to tire and you up the intensity in the second half.

Unless Everton significantly improve in the second half they will lose. Regardless of who you play, you can't hoof it straight back to the opposition at every opportunity and expect anything but defeat.

Henderson really does have the ultimate 'lights are on, but nobody's home' facial expression.

Everton playing kick and rush football. How are these not hovering around the relegation zone?

They won 5-0 last week

Liverpool can still batter teams at Anfield but goals have certainly dried up on the road....barely a shot at Old Trafford, only one at West Ham and Brighton since xmas.

Good news for them is they only have four aways left....Fulham, Cardiff, Southampton and Newcastle which are all very winnable.

Marginal but think Man. City have a slightly tougher run in.
