Do Real fans wishing for Poch really know what they would be getting? He is not the type of manager for that club.
That's not what I said. Last year, people suggested that he was just a cheerleader and what happens this year shows that you need to be more than that, we are not going to pretend that this team is bad or magically turned into a pumpkin, coaching played a big part in their recent successes, as much as Ronaldo's talent.
Baffling after what Jose did to us so many Real fans want him back, they've already experienced it once! He'll be even more of a nightmare there than he was here. There's no such thing as a new "relaxed" version, he's simply an uninterested version, he doesn't have the fire or the passion anymore.
Greta news, one less destination for Martial Pogba and Degea

In the league during Ronaldo's time it was 12 wins for Barcelona, 4 draws, 4 wins for Madrid. Which is still quite terrible. Madrid did better in the Copa del Rey.During Ronaldo’s time at Madrid: 14 wins for Barcelona, 8 draws, 10 wins for Madrid.
It wasn’t so bad. Especially since they must have finished about half of those matches playing with 10 men.

If Ronaldo was playing over the two legs, I highly doubt they would have conceded 5 to Ajax.
Just imagine if they had scored their clear chances against Barcelona in the Copa match, and ended 2-2 against Ajax.
Funny how a bad week can destroy an entire season and era.

Hard to tell, but Madrid are not really known for signing big name managers, surprisingly. Why did they hire Solari? I know he coached Real Madrid B, but was he just meant to be a stop gap or was the idea for him to be the permanent manager?
The irony: the manager who routinely treats clubs as stopgaps before he moves to more prestigious clubs...now may be viewed as a stopgap by Real Madrid.Madrid got Mourinho at the peak of his powers and yet it still ended with him losing the dressing room and losing to Atletico at home in the cup final.
Now they're getting a Mourinho that has lost another 2 dressing rooms, been sacked twice and shown he is completely unwilling or incapable of adapting his methods to modern football.
They're getting an inferior version of the Mourinho that didn't work the first time anyway. It's very odd.
Oh yeah, right, I counted this season's games, too, for some reason.10 wins for Barca, not 12. He was there 9 years, so only 18 games

The problem and culprit of all of this is one person - Florentino Perez.
Fans saw the results of a season as a direct result of what he was doing at the moment but the truth is the success that happened from 2014 to 2018 came from his good management from 2009 to 2014. Since then he’s done next to nothing to contribute positively to the success they had on a football point of view and it’s showing now. There were people who had been criticizing him for years but when you’re winning CL after CL it’s easy for the criticism to be dismissed.
Bad managerial choices, not renewing with players who should have stayed, missing obvious transfer targets, etc. so many mistakes. His biggest mistake was letting his ego take over and start worrying about his legacy and the Santiago Bernabeu comparisons over the success of the club. He put himself over the club.
Winning with a star player he didn’t sign was good but not good enough. He wanted to win with his signings, playing a certain way, with as many spanish players as possible, wanted to renew a stadium that doesn’t need renewing, sign a star player of his own (Neymar)... and instead of letting the winning cycle continue he destroyed it to attempt to start a new one without the humility to realize how tough that task is.
He either turns this around fast or he needs to go.
I absolutely agree with the gist of your post, but Ronaldo was signed by Perez right? I believe it was Calderon Ferguson wouldn’t «sell a virus».
Ronaldo was Calderon’s signing although Perez was president by the day he got signed.
Jose seems like a good fit to me. Poch couldn’t cope with Madrid I feel.
You could see the cracks during Zidane's last season but somehow he carried them over the line with a champions league win.
Ronaldo gone, Zidane gone, Bale gets injured too often, Modric and Ramos getting old - I can see them dropping really far behind Barca in all honesty.
Even if they do sign Neymar or Mbappe it wont be easy to steer this ship on its track.
What about Barcelona? Messi is going to drop a few gears next season seeing as he doesn't have to keep up with Ronaldo anymore.
To be fair to Jose he can talk his way into most jobs in football and Madrid, again,is no exception.Mourinho just gave an interview clearly flirting with the idea of going there.
Says there’s been no contact at all as of now but that he felt pride that fans chanted his name after the game.
Madrid offered Zidane to come back but 'Zizou' asked to wait until June.

Shame the rest of La Liga is so bad that thy're sitting comfortable in the top 4 despite only averaging 1.8 PPG.
Hahahaha I wish him on the cnuts!
We can then cash in on Matic for 50m when he's appointed.

How do you feel about a potential comeback? Even though he could have a good reason to resign, isn't there a part of you that feels betrayed/abandoned?
Maybe waiting to see how things turn out with Allegri at Juve?
Would be weird for him to return 1 year later after deciding to leave and the fans would demand a proper explanation that they didn’t really get last time around.
