The only thing I don't like is not having either Rashford or Martial in the lineup (understand it's probably due to fitness issues). Hope our attack would be able to threaten them.

If Wolves uses the same tactics as they did last time I can actually see Lukaku being a benefit if we get crosses into the box. Rashford and Martial were lost the last time because there was no space to run in behind.

So 7 days away from FA cup game Wolves rest first 11 players but 4 days away pick their strongest side?

Its everyones FA cup final when Utd rock up in town, never be convinced with what others tell you!

Performance against Watford was shocking but I don't think we needed to drop half the team. I am not sure what our expectations for this match are but I can't see us winning it.

Would have kept Martial instead of Lingard but given he had a knock it’s sort of understandable. Don’t like not seeing Greenwood in the lineup surely he’s a better option at this stage than feckin Mata. Anyway let’s stuff them.

On the one hand I'm glad to see our midfield changed up after their horrible performance against Watford.

On the other hand no Martial and Rashford makes our attack look a lot weaker.
Don’t know really. Wolves coped well with Rash and Martial.
This gives them something different to think about. Lingard can make a 5 in midfield if needed.
Last time our we were outnumbered there

Nice to see the freshness in midfield, it's definitely needed. Happy to see Dalot forward too, think he'll have a good game.

This is the midfield I'd have chosen. McTominay needs to have a monster performance though.

    Think Greenwood isn’t 100%
He didn’t play the recent games for the youth or U23s

Class line up full of exciting young prospects and great to see Lukaku up there offering something different. Very exciting. 3-1 United.

McTominay gets a hell of a lot of stick in here. Past few games he's played for us he's done himself proud, most notably the PSG game, thought he was relatively solid.

What if it were Matic? Would folk be happy with that? Probably not - when it comes to the DM position, there's no pleasing some. I'd much rather have McTominay than Matic against Wolves at Molineux

I hope Dalot will be right and not Lingard.

Still going 1-2 Wolves win and the end of our top 4 dream imo.

I get why Rashford is rested. He has not been great of late. He is 21, played a world cup been in most of the games. He had a knock against Liverpool, powered on. He needs a break. Lukaku is a 75m striker, we have to show faith. Martial has a knock and again has been injured a lot of late. He clearly has poor fitness levels so Ole does not trust him. Glad to see Fred back, i thought he showed promise before Matic and Ander came back. Glad to see Matic knocked to the bench and Scott coming in. Dare i say it, he was pretty good of late. Dalot right wing makes sense, a bit gutted no youth have made it. Wolves will sit deep and hit us on the break with pace, i have predicted 1 0 to Wolves.

He was good once he got a kick against PSG, seemed to unlock the aggression in him. He’s seemed to nice

I am sure he will defend well, but not sure he will open them up with creative passing. I think we will pass it around too slowly and struggle to create much.

Not with Fred we won’t. One thing he doesn’t do is ‘slow’

Not a lineup that fills you with confidence, but many of us asked for changes and for a standard to be set. Hope they deliver and earn their places for Barca.

    Indeed.

We want to see the fight that each player has. They're all getting real chances to show who is worthy of a place here next year and into the future.

Yes, the reshaping and strengthening of our squad according to Ole is going to require multiple transfer windows. So it's not a 'you didn't take your chance... get out', but I'm pleasantly surprised with how inclusive Ole has been of the entire squad, despite our schedule dictating such really. We're keeping players hungry and not allowing any to rest on their laurels.

With Mata & Herrera likely to be leaving, Darmian might end up a stop gap for a year, De Gea...who knows, Valencia likely going, Young approaching the end....this squad is booked in for some serious surgery in the next two years! Time for the real Utd players to re-claim their place.

Because we have played poorly the last few games with a lack of energy. All of Fred, McTominay, Lingard and Dalot will provide that. Wolves were tactically smarter than us in the FA Cup tie last week so presumably Ole has been working on something else. That combined with injuries is why we've seen this starting XI.
6 changes seems like a lot from one match to the next. Let's just hope that it works.

Darmian is not in Ole’s plans. Defensively sound but offers nothing going forward

Please don't play Pogba on the left wing, he's so poor there.
