Futbol Club Barcelona, commonly referred to as Barcelona and colloquially known as Barça is a Spanish professional football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, English and Catalan footballers led by Joan Gamper, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism, hence the motto "Més que un club" ("More than a club"). The club is one of three founding members of the Primera División that have never been relegated from the top division since its inception in 1929, along with Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid. One of the most successful clubs in football, Barcelona has won 25 La Liga, 30 Copa del Rey, 13 Supercopa de España, 3 Copa Eva Duarte, and 2 Copa de la Liga trophies, as well as being the record holder for the latter four competitions at the domestic level. In international club football, Barcelona has won 20 European and World titles: 5 UEFA Champions League titles, a record 4 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, a joint record 5 UEFA Super Cup, a record 3 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, and a joint record 3 FIFA Club World Cup.

The club is also famous for hosting some of the most illustrious names in the history of the sport...ranging from Kocsis and Kubala and Czibor to Maradona and Laudrup and Henry — and overall, its players have won a record number of Ballon d'Or awards (11), with recipients including Johan Cruyff and Suárez Miramontes, as well as a record number of FIFA World Player of the Year awards (7), with winners including Ronaldo, Romário, Ronaldinho, and Rivaldo. In 2010, three players who came through the club's youth academy (Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, and Xavi) were chosen as the three best players in the world in the FIFA Ballon d'Or awards, an unprecedented feat for players from the same football school. The club has a long-standing rivalry with Real Madrid; matches between the two teams are referred to as El Clásico (arguably the most significant derby in club football). And they play their home games at the Camp Nou (the the largest stadium in Spain and Europe, and the home stadium of FC Barcelona since its completion in 1957).

    Ermmmm.
Please have mercy on us Barca :(

    This could get rather Messi.

Tough game. All of our players are a bit off-form at the moment.

Is there a way to surrender a football game? Messi is going to absolutely rip apart these kids to shreds

This could be our last home game in the CL this decade, so enjoy it.

Hoping and praying United shock us all with a performance and Barca severely underestimate us. We were all doom and gloom before the PSG game and look how that turned out. Something tells me Barca will have a lot more respect for us than PSG did and deal with us accordingly.

Can we just play Pogba behind Lukaku, Rashford and Martial. Couple of holding midfielders and a defence without Young.

Anywhere else and Pogba isn’t interested, put in as The 10 and makes things happen. Lingard was an embarrassment tonight and pretty useless apart from his ‘amazing runs’, keep him on the bench.

Ohh can't wait, really up for another night of filling my room full of vape, puffing on it till smoke alarm goes off.

No chance have we, unless someone ties Barca laces together, and Messi has a zimma frame. Bt sport be full of the supuratives for Barca. 0-4 I'm going for.

    Let's hope I'm wrong .. hehe

If Wolves can pull our pants down twice in 3 weeks, watching Smalling and co defend against Barca is going to be a train wreck.

Would take 0:0 at this point. We'll be better than we all expect imo. It's a big European night. Wouldnt start Pogba.

90 minutes of us shitting the bed. Can’t wait.

I wouldn't fancy our chances against their reserves right now.
We need another miracle to get something out of this.

We should man mark Messi, it's the only thing we can hope it'll work.

We were extremely fortunate to beat PSG, we won't get so lucky against Barcelona.
At least we'll get to watch a great football team play some proper football, so it's no all bad

    -----------De Gea--------------
    Young-Smalling-Lindelof-Shaw
    ------------Matic---------------
    ------Herrera--Pogba-----------
    Lingard---Rashford-----Martial

    DDG
    Dalot - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Pereira - McTominay - Pogba
    Lingard
    Rashford - Martial

Honestly could get embarrassing. Our home form is so poor. Hopefully they get a red card or something

Recent weeks have made me go from buzzing about this tie to really not giving a shit about it

    Everyone needs to calm down.
Utd can play a different game. Let Barca have the ball, and play on the counter.
No real pressure....Let's regroup and go for it.

Barca are getting destroyed by Villarreal now. Losing 4-2. Maybe we're not the one who is shite.

They may actually suite us. An attacking team that we can counter again. With a bit of Chelsea luck I could actually see us going through.

Who am I kidding Smalling will finally make his dream come true and score and own goal hat-trick.

    *in dbz narrator voice*

Last time Barcelona visited Old Trafford:

They’re gonna comfortably win this tie but I just hope we can put up a fight at home, even a draw would be a massive boost for the rest of season.

At least we can say it was Barca, so that kinda of makes it alright I guess. Based on the fight we have shown in our previous 2 games, this one will be special.

    :lol::eek::lol:

This game is going to make me even regret we went through against psg. All our recent performances have been disastrous to watch and now we have to play 2 games against the best team in the world.
