Yeah I've never heard of environmental reasons used as an excuse for not wanting immigration in the country before. It's definitely a good one.

Absolute bollocks, but good.

It's an interesting topic when you take into account the fact that the UK is less polluted today than it was 10 years ago, that London, who receives a third of all immigrants, is averagely polluted compared to the World's biggest Cities. Now one actual problem exists for the mid to long term, it concerns water supply for London but that problem is one of infrastructure and water management with solutions already available.

I feel sad that anyone still believes the Tory line of reducing immigration. May is one of the strongest voices on this and she's not touched it.

You can call it optimistic but it's just being gullible

They chase a few old people back to the Caribbean who can't prove they're British and entitled to be there.

Tax evasion , chase people who have underpaid by 50p.

It's all about easy targets.

The UK population must be in some sort of contest to find the world's most gullible people.

Wow. You habe historical data on the last country to leave the eu. Please share details.

Many examples in history of countries leaving unions. Many examples of economic down turn due to having a smaller market. Economic facts and history, political facts and history, leader facts and history. Experts in all markets giving historical and recent examples and facts. Yeah they are all here in this very thread. But hey continue to completely ignore it, because you "believe".

So arrogant. Typical remainer attitude on here unfortunately.

It’s very easy to dress up longer term averages to back the argument.

Levels of EU immigration were higher than what you are averaging out in the latter years prior to the referendum weren’t they?

Regarding non-EU, let’s see what the new immigration policy brings after it’s unveiled, before judging yeah?

Like I said. Two routes need two doors, not one. Except it will be only one door, as post-EU, that’s all that is required.

No I just like to deal in facts rather than spout bullshit I have no idea about.

As I said freedom of movement has no impact on government immigration policy because they cannot even bring the non-eu of which they have full control allegedly within targets.

Its funny how @Stanley Road has bemoaned the belittling attitude towards leavers arguments yet chooses the most ludicrous hill to die on.

Lads, there is no point in buying Messi for Manchester United because there is NO HISTORICAL DATA if he would improve the team! Has he ever transferred before? NO! Has he ever played for United before? NO! How can you plebs come to the conclusion that he would strengthen the team????

He cares for the environment guys. Because the UK apparently is enclosed in a bubble with its own atmosphere.

What about immigration from the pesky aliens?

Immigration? Aliens aren't covered by the Humans Rights conventions. We'll take them as slaves and launch the First British Intergalactic Empire, trading the slaves between our colonies.

If they are more advanced then us, then all bets are off obviously. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Sure, try to deal with their ray guns first.

I doubt their ray guns will be as advanced as the Muslamic ray guns that render our defences impotent. We'll steer well clear of the Muslamic star system anyway.

My plan is foolproof. Not even Boris can feck this up.

I am in a morbid curiosity kinda way looking forward to how the Tories are going to try and spin Labour as the ones not compromising.
It sounds like when they say both sides need to compromise that they mean Labour and the ERG and the compromise is actually Mays deal.

You sure?

It always amuses me to see how shit Leavers are at Googling.
you mean google so I can find someones 2nd hand opinion from a different forum than this. It always amuses me how remainers can only resort to insults, very intelligent.

This thread should be renamed 'Brexit from a Remainer's perspective '. It's amusing how many you pat each other on the back whilst proclaiming all Brexiteers are dumb and racist. Maybe if both sides were bit more open to each other's perspective we still wouldn't be sat waiting in limbo whilst everyone continues to shout at each other.

Alright, how do you solve the Irish border issue then?

Maybe we'd get more open discussion if Brexiteers actually explained why Brexit is a good idea instead of moaning about the other side when they're proven to be spouting bollocks?

Bah, stop making fun of us! Well stop giving us ammunition then....

Well if the EU and UK government wanted Brexit to happen, how hard is it to write a piece of legislation that means Ireland can have an open border between the two countries, afterall the two countries are land locked. The EU is fully aware of the political history. They are using it as a weapon to delay and stop Brexit ever happening.

I do find it strange that given the country is split right down the middle on this issue, the Remain side is so over represented in this thread. I know not everyone posting in it is from the UK which skews it a bit, but you would still have thought there would be more Brexiters in here making their case.

To access the EU's four freedoms you need to be in the EU. Ireland aren't. We won't be. Therefore we don't get the same access.

And even if we somehow were in the morally justified position here, we've already been told this isn't a viable solution, which means it's null and void. What's your workable solution to solve the issue?

Brexiteers tend to be older, whereas this forum has a younger leaning contingent. Same as how more people vote Tory than Labour, but Tories tend to be quite underrepresented around here.
