Yeah that wasn’t Delph’s fault
Yeah having seen it again, I stand corrected.
Yeah that wasn’t Delph’s fault
Probably wasn't even fully healed from last injury.Injured the same ankle he did last time. Will be at least 2 months.
2-3 months out is my guess if it's a grade 2/3 sprain. I'm currently nursing the exact same injury. How long do you lot reckon he will be out.
What happened with Kane?
um Kane went in for the tackle but whatever fits your narrativeDelph wtf!! Horrible tackle
Kane injured. feck yeah.
*Before anyone starts, yes I am celebrating an injury. I care a log more about United getting top 4 than about whether Harry Kane misses a few games through injury. Sue me.

Kane was the one who did the tackle...
Looked deliberate from Delph during the replay imo.
Seeing the replay, you're absolutely right.Kane has no sense, why make the challenge anyway Delph wasn't going nowhere
I want to be this guy and say to you that you don't seem to have much playing experience.Looked deliberate from Delph during the replay imo.
Anything looks deliberate in slow motion
I wasn't sure, looked like Kane made a challenge and Delph stamped on his ankle but I only caught the last bit of the replay so you could both be right yeah.Ah come on it's clearly an accident.
So shit though, gutted for Kane and despite the whole 'they played better when he was out!' (this isn't actually really true, we were really scratching results from easy fixtures during his absence, Leicester was one of our worst performances of the season and we were super fortunate to win) he is a tremendous loss.
UUF that is a big blow for them not just in the tie but in hopes of top 4.2-3 months out is my guess if it's a grade 2/3 sprain. I'm currently nursing the exact same injury.

Delph knew what he was doing IMO. Tried to take both the ball and then the man.I wasn't sure, looked like Kane made a challenge and Delph stamped on his ankle but I only caught the last bit of the replay so you could both be right yeah.
City playing dirty today. Lots of niggles after the balls gone.
Sue meKane injured. feck yeah.

Exactly. It's basically a reward for shit defending. So if you throw yourself at the ball recklessly it should be allowed to hit your arms with no repercussions because "that's how you defend"? That's what you both seem to be suggesting.
I was saying this to a City fan I know the other day. Been a pretty bad signing for them I think. Is it me or is Mahrez half the player he was for Leicester?
What a waste of £50 million or whatever City paid.
When will the FA start fecking over clubs for constant fouls? I know tactical fouls are part of the game but feck me City (and Pep's Barca) take the piss.
Looked the same to meMaybe its just me but it looked like Kane went in strong with a force
Yeah, and it will get abused so much by players. What a ridiculous thing to sayExactly. It's basically a reward for shit defending.

From the replays it seems that Kane was making a normal no risk challenge (not even that big tackle), but his leg slipped a bit and then it got right under Delph's foot.Kane has no sense, why make the challenge anyway Delph wasn't going nowhere
Players goes into slide tackles with the intention of getting the ball and gets decieved in the last second by the player on the ball and commits the foul. I don't see the difference here. He tried to block took the risk and hit his arm not anywhere else in the body.He charged down a shot with an outstretched arm, it's a penalty. Players diving in are trying to block it with their legs mainly or torso at least, if hits your head while diving feet first then you've got lucky on your mistimed lunge, if hits your arm it's a penalty.
You take the gamble by diving in. You can keep running and stick a leg out, swivel around like some other players do.
You can't give a green light and say defenders can block shots with flailing or outstretched arms. You then turn defenders into second keepers who say didn't mean to charge that shot down guv.
Yeah, I think they're as good as out if they don't take a 2 goal lead to the Etihad. If City score tonight that I can't see them progressing.Spurs need to at least get one
Can't get over Sterling's run![]()
