UEFA Champions League Quarter Final fixtures (9th - 10th, 16th - 17th April 2019)

Such a sin they will lose at least 4 of the best players .

Southampton of the continent. Have to feel for storied clubs like Ajax who simply can't defend themselves when the "big boys" come calling.

We've reaped the benefits of that.

Thank you Ajax. Eriksen, Vertonghen and Sanchez are all very appreciated.

I said big boys :p

Feck sake, even I'm depressed watching Young and I'm not a United fan

Our stadium makes yours look like a shanty town so have that.

That's basically all I have. We have a really cool stadium, dunno if Glaston mentioned it.

Fecking hell Young is awful.

Vidal is trying his best to get sent off.

Genuine question - do you expect the ticket / concession prices to rise due to the new stadium?

Ekkelenkamp looks 15 years old, fecking hell.

Ticket prices will be high, yeah. It's a brand new London stadium, I plan to go (possibly to the game against everton, last game of the season) and IIRC the cheapest was like 40 odd, for some poor seats.

I don't expect them to rise any more than they are currently, but they were always going to be expensive.

Rashford has a real good cross on him. Maybe he should give Young some lessons.

I think Costa could run the 100m under 10”, unreal pace on him.

Costa nearly ended Veltman’s career there

Lenglet, Piqué and Semedo. Best Barça players of the match.

Legnlet has been too shaky with the ball for me. Pique & Semendo have been Barca's standouts, though.

United don't deserve to be losing.

You could make one of those 10 minute best dribbles of the year youtube videos with just the footage of two 90 min Douglas Costa performances.

Vidal auditioning for the next Wrestlemania

Barcelona fortunate. United were the better team.

Game would have been much different if the ref and VAR didn't feck up with that Tagliafico pull down on Bentacur, should have been a PEN and a 2nd yellow.

Quite confident Juve will go through in Turin, they are a much different proposition there, especially if Chiellini is back.

It'll be interesting watching Liverpool v Barca. Ref will have to come up with a way to favour both teams.

One of the best fouls ever. Even if he had gotten a red, no one cares, he's irrelevant.
Haha true, and it looked like a necessary one as well.

Good second half by Ajax, and they have a punter’s chance in Turin too.

How ? They did nothing.

Neither did Barcelona. Only difference is that one big of individual quality from Messi & a deflection.

Dalot should've buried that cross from Rashford.

Clear penalty and second yellow to Tagliafico not given. Ref doesn't even check VAR... refs at this stage need to have some balls rather than give the call to the home team because the fans are loud.

Not a terrible result for Juve, could have been much worse.

Cancelo was incredibly bad aside from the brilliant assist.

You're not unlucky if you fail to have a shot on target in an entire game.

Yeah Barca were crap too, but United only have themselves to blame for being so blunt in attack. Zero quality or invention in the final third, made life difficult for Barca with their pressing but were very easy to defend against.

Barca showed their quality to get the goal and then the onus was on United to come back, but they showed far too little when it came to the crunch. I too thought they were playing well early in the first half, but as the game went on it became increasingly clear they weren't going to create clear cut opportunities at all.

Ajax is very dangerous! I thought Madrid may have been an anomaly because you never know with them, but damn if Juventus would have been in deep trouble if Tadic wasn't half-hearted with that last chance. The game in Italy might even suit Ajax more because Juventus will be more attacking (like Madrid was).

Costa looked incredible. If they get Ronaldo, Costa, Khedira, Chiellini fully match fit then may actually have a chance to win the whole thing.

Posting this for all the Ajax/Juve watchers that missed it.
