Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

So which treble is the legitimate treble?

As far as I am aware its been generally accepted all over Europe that winning the CL and your top two trophies in your own country (e.g. PL And FA Cup in England) is the legitimate 'top treble' . Of course winning any three titles (except Community Shield) constitutes a treble, but its not the top treble"

I actually agree with him to be honest. Celebrating a goal is the paramount moment for any supporter in the ground.

You would have a glance at the lino, if his flag was down, it was your cue to go full on mental.

The fact it could get brought back for VAR is always in your mind, so it sort of spoils the moment.

It's not so much about the rights and wrongs of the decisions, though I can see your point. More to do with experience of watching football.

So you would rather the wrong decision be made?

There is so much wrong with this post.

To add to City's woes, if their fans remember, if VAR had been available in their FA cup match with Swansea they would not be in the FA cup final now! So you win some you lose some, get over it blues, prove your credentials by winning the PL two season on the trot... a feat only achieved by Chelsea and of course United!

They barely celebrated anyway. Hard for them to be devastated when they don't look arsed to begin with. A few tossers waving plastic flags and some other people stood around wondering why they came, even if they did get a free ticket.

I thought the same thing watching this! It's liked they just scored their 5th against a league one team in the FA cup.

When we compare this to our recent night in Paris, even they must get embarresed!

This is why I take them winning the league over Liverpool, they don't care. Within a few days it is forgotten about because their fans are more interestedin them spending 100m on a player than winning anything.

Good point Maticmaker.

Not to mention their absurdly kind cup draws.

League Cup

Oxford
Fulham
Leicester
Burton Albion
Chelsea

FA Cup

Rotherham
Burnley
Newport
Swansea
Brighton
Watford

Champions League

Lyon
Shaktar
Hoffenheim
Shalke
Tottenham

An absolute joke I'm sure you'll agree.

Would have been a travesty if they won the quadruple with draws like that. Had they beat Spurs, they'd be against Ajax (no disrespect, but they're still one of the easier teams left in the competition).

Really hope Watford shock them.

That's shocking. I honestly doubt there was ever so much luck given in all competitions over a year, ever!

Our treble was:

FA Cup - Chelsea, Arsenal & Newcastle
CL - Group of death, Intern, Juventus, Bayern

Mental.

Had Liverpool in the FA Cup too.

That intern Danny was an incredible player too .

I'm from India actually! Plenty of Arsenal, Chelsea and United fans and a few City fans here. There are a decent number of Liverpool fans but none that I know personally.
I'm a malaysian myself and went to indian medical school. It was circa 2005ish and was surprised to see the legions of liverpool fans there. Much more than manutd fans to be precise.. Neeedless to say it was a fun period for utd fans and the i myself had a awesome banter with them. I shudder to think about being with them right about now.

And I get that but if losing that means the just winner wins and there is fair play then I am down for it.

They had two tough opponents. Couldn't score a single goal against Chelsea and won through penalties and then went out to Spurs without their star player.

They have done well in the league. Apart from that, any decent team could have achieved what they did in the rest of the competitions.

Wow. They're only played 2 good teams out of 16. Crazy. Easiest set of cup runs in history?

We need a crowd photo like in the RAWK thread when it goes off topic.

I burst my ass laughing last night when their goal was disallowed. Brilliant. But they are still a brilliant side, can't deny it.

I love these threads laughing at city and pool, but the fact we're laughing at the fact city have blown the quad while we're sitting in 6th shows just what a state our own club is in right now.

I wonder if you were laughing at Liverpool when they slipped away the title in 2014. We were in a worse state than we are now, yet we still all laughed because it was hilarious.

Are you kidding, it was a classic.
The difference is that city have just blown the quad.
That means, as satisfying as it is seeing them blow it, we're laughing at the fact they're not going to win everything. Let that sink in for a minute.

It deserves mocking when all we were constantly hearing about was a potential quadruple. It's not just them blowing it, it's the way they blew it too. What's the point in rivalry when you can't laugh at your rivals misfortune?

Did you see their fixture list? It wasnt the great feat its made out to be. Theyve been gifted easy fixtures all season. And banging on , and on and on about the quad. They deserve the ridicule, regardless of how shit we are at the moment.

Had Liverpool in the FA Cup too.

Boro and Newcastle too. 6 games, 5 vs EPL teams who finished the year 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 13th. (Fulham being the other team United beat that year.)
