Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

Yea, I am also confused. Janssen in my own opinion is a bit better than Llorente. He should have started. It seems like he slept with Pochettino wife of something .

Edit: nevermind he wasn’t put on the ul squad it seems.

He wasn’t in the UCL squad as far as I know.

They haven't in the second half though, are you even actually watching the game or just here to troll?

First half we got played with, but since a switch up and Sissoko's introduction, it's been far from one sided. Any attempt to pretend it has is blatantly just a wind up.

We're unable to score because we have no attacking quality, shock horror when probably 300 odd million worth of striking talent is missing.

Even your midfield looks shit. A lot of possession and nothing to show for it. Ajax should be 2-0 up

Eriksen has been so shite.

Feck off to Madrid if you want to put in performances like these. He's absolutely class at his best but I'm sick of how inconsistent he has been this season.

Of course he's wumming

What about the Klopp's Dortmund with Lewandowski, Reus, young Gotze, Hummels, Gundogan, et al.?

Monaco were my favourites in recent times. Wonderful team of Mbappe, Falcao, Lemar, Glik, Fabiano.....and Bakayoko.

Shame they ran into the Juventus brick wall as a final of them v Real Madrid would've been a brilliant watch.

Next you are going to tell me they have Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink to bring on.

His head's been turned by Zidane....

I remember when Dolberg was the new Bergkamp. Now he's below a 46 year old Huntelaar in the pecking order

You're still in the tie, 1-0 isn't awful. It's not great, but you get Son back for the next game at least. You can still turn it around.

As for the game Ajax has been the best team but I think the *totally outplayed* is a bit over the top. They had 2 shots on target, we had one. They clearly won the first half but we improved in the second. If we can get some players back for the away leg there is still a tie here.

I remember when Huntelaar was a wonderkid on video games.

Damn I'm old.

Would be so Spurs to get so exhausted they lose their last two in the league and finish 6th.

They'll get just over the line I'd imagine like half their league games this season.

Spurs have to bottle something this season, there's no way they pull of the City result and don't bottle it elsewhere.

He's a big body who can hold it up, but he's zero threat in the box. And he may be dangerous from set pieces but he's fecked up the opportunities which came his way.

I said he's 'probably better' because I haven't seen De Jong much. Maybe he's not, he's still nowhere near good enough to be starting in a CL semi final.
And yet he's been one of your best players tonight

Imagine Martial working as hard as Moura.

I lived in the Netherlands for a bit and played on the 2nd team for a tiny club and our best player was a really fast, skilled winger that I couldn't believe wasn't on the first team but everyone said he was too tactically naive to make the step up, which is some shit you would never hear in a million years back in Canada.

Anyways, watching Ajax and Martial play a bunch this past month has reminded me of him.

His head's been turned by Zidane....

I don't think it's that. It's a CL semi final, any player would be up for it even if they want to move. If anything it's a great opportunity to secure a move.

Both him and Alli this season have been so fecking inconsistent.

Spurs took over the game by bypassing the ajax press with long balls for Llorente, who keeps winning those duels and get his team up

They'd still be chasing shadows without him
Spurs took over the game by changing their formation. It wasn't just down to Llorente's play.

I agree that Poch is s good manager - I just don't understand why so many thought he would be the obvious choice to be United-manager. Despite Mourinho and our collapse at the end, they are just 5 Points ahead of us. And I don't see anything in this side that makes me Believe they will develop much next season
