Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

The Ajax midfield has ‘completely capitulated’. feck off jenas

They can play this game for two days non stop and Spurs would still not score.

And yet he's been one of your best players tonight

It's not hard, we've been absolutely fecking shite quality wise.

A handful of players (sissoko, lucas especially) have acquitted themselves relatively well, the rest have been a total joke.

I would be very interested in hearing your opinion of Dele Alli. I appreciate he's not had a great game tonight but over the course of the season how's he been performing.

He's got a nice touch and an eye for a pass but from what I've seen goes missing far too often in matches and has little influence. His work rate also seems questionable.

It seems that since his breakthrough season he just hasn't kicked on. Is that a fair comment?

Ajax really needed to have scored a 2nd goal.

Thought Ajax were pretty good for half an hour but since then was a pretty poor game

I agree that Poch is s good manager - I just don't understand why so many thought he would be the obvious choice to be United-manager. Despite Mourinho and our collapse at the end, they are just 5 Points ahead of us. And I don't see anything in this side that makes me Believe they will develop much next season

Your basing this idea in a game where were missing 2 of our best player, and another for the most of the game.

The voice of reason! Preach!

Monaco were my favourites in recent times. Wonderful team of Mbappe, Falcao, Lemar, Glik, Fabiano.....and Bakayoko.

Shame they ran into the Juventus brick wall as a final of them v Real Madrid would've been a brilliant watch.
Yea, they were on my mind, but since they failed to make a final, I decided against mentioning them.

That was in 2013, when those names were already well-known by the football aficionado, with two back-to-back bundesligas in 2011 and 2012.
Porto was in 2004, though, assuming you mean Mourinho's Porto. But yea, Dortmund were not unknown amongst hardcore football fans, but amongst the general public, they were considered underdogs, especially prior to that shock Madrid result. Certainly not considered one of the favorites. I remember the bandwagon following of Dortmund increased tenfold post that run to the final, becoming a football hipster's favorite.

Another missing job by the almighty Dele Alli.

There's no denying/arguing against this any longer.

He's been total wank for the majority of this season, if it wasn't for injuries I wouldn't even want him in the team.

Now his goalscoring has dried up he offers nothing but the odd moment of quality/some decent flicks here and there.

Ajax fully in control now.

Son back though and Spurs will have a bit more options on the counter attack but you'd expect Ajax to create far more on home turf.

Blowing on 93 minutes and 5 seconds

Whats up with the pitch at the new superstadium? We have had players slipping all over the place during the entire game and now it looks like its been the place of a rodeo or something.

Still think Ajax could've gotten one more at least. Spurs will go there with Son back and go for it like at City and try to outscore I think.

He’s carrying an injury, but it’s certainly fair to say he has had a poor season, still young so is going to be inconsistent.

Ajax fans are leaving the dreams of their lives. Ajax of the 90s look revived.

Right we\re all Barcelona fans tomorrow:lol:

They haven't in the second half though, are you even actually watching the game or just here to troll?

First half we got played with, but since a switch up and Sissoko's introduction, it's been far from one sided. Any attempt to pretend it has is blatantly just a wind up.

We're unable to score because we have no attacking quality, shock horror when probably 300 odd million worth of striking talent is missing.

Yeah, you were outplayed, out thunk, outscored, but since the introduction of Sissoko you held your own in midfield. Ajax still shaded the second half, despite leading away, and had the better chance to capitalize. Spurs take the L.

Ideal for the Winter Olympics, which is another source of income that will wipe the debt in no time.

Hasnt been great but I think he also hasnt really been at full fitness all season. Still young and tons of potential though.
