The Championship 2018/19 - Play-off final

Is anyone not going after Grealish this summer... looks a class above still to me.

Have to say Grealish looks a good player. Would be great for Leicester or a side hoping to push the top six/four next season.

He has 60m buyout clause in his new deal.

He'll go if we don't go up. Probably 30m.

Delighted to win that. I was more impressed with us in first half, second half we were looking very laboured and thought Dean Smith was too slow making changes. Hourihane goal has changed everything in this tie.

Gayle out for second leg is huge.

No space at Leicester unless Maddison leaves.

Whelan made a mistake for Villa which nobody could do anything about, he's got rid of any danger in his way but it's mostly been Villa attacking. Not the best game to judge him on because of this. It's all Villa in the front foot until now.

Ok thanks x

I think Grealish would be a good signing for us, probably not at the release clause but no way are Villa getting that for him anyway. He can't do any worse than the other muppets we have here already.

I didn't know that he works so hard for Villa, I always assumed the opposite. He's everywhere on the pitch.

Love the way he moves out wide and becomes a quasi winger on either flank. He is getting better at releasing the ball and using his team mates to get himself out of dead end situations.

Obviously nowhere near that level yet but he plays in similar way to David Silva floating all over the pitch from a central position and dictating play.

Was Silva a central or wide player when he first signed for Man. City? Grealish is someone any top club could develop into a special player.

Silva was a leftish midfielder when he joined City, but someone who came off the flank - very similar to Mata in those days. He's evolved into a proper attacking midfielder, albeit still retains that ability to mix it up out wide.

Grealish has been centre of the pitch since day one, but you can clearly tell he's comfortable when he's drifted out wide.

He seems tailor made for United if Pogba leaves, or fill the Coutinho sized hole in Liverpool's midfield.

I think Maddison is more economical but Grealish has the higher ceiling if developed correctly. Both would be useful squad players in a top side at the bare minimum and much better than say Lingard.

Obviously. I suggested him a while back, not until I heard about his new release clause. If Villa could lower their demand to 30mil, it would be good.

Might need to see it again, I thought he went for it before the ball was in the keepers grasp. He committed to sliding in, hoping his team mate would find him but a bad ball from his teammate.

Not the greatest pictures .... I'm still 50/50 but he'd also had a foul just before. Maybe ref thought that's enough.

Derby have David Nugent leading the line.

Would still expect Leeds in the final. Pontus Jansson out for them though.

silly billy question, but are these play-offs 2 legs or are they all 90 minute knock outs?
