Internationals June (Euro Qualifiers + Nations League Finals)

Can we not do better than Delph in midfield ffs?

did I watch a different replay because that was a clear foul, so justice done and great job VAR! And flopping actually becomes harder because a trained eye can actually see it better in replay than in real time.

Nope.

We've got a massive dearth of even remotely talented midfielders at the minute.

Winks
Maddison
Grealish
Foden
Mount

We have quality there they just need experience.

This isn't like how it was a decade or so ago, we're starting to produce some good players in midfield.

England actually shorter odds to win on penalties than Swiss.

I'm starting to remember the first 20mins of this match as being not that bad.

Cos, this is awful now.

Lingard replaced by Sancho - hopefully something that will also be seen at club-level soon.

It's going to get to the point where players and fans don't celebrate goals out of fear it'll be ruled out. I do think VAR is good for the game, but it will kill emotional moments. Ole in Barcelona wouldn't have been the same if we had VAR.

Can England make another sub, surely bring Rashford on as he is pretty secure at penalty taking at least.

This is the Nations League mate not a friendly, still a competitive match.
Ahh right, when England lost in the semis I read a lot about it being a meaningless glorified friendly no one here gives a shit about anyway

can't believe there are qualifiers in June. Players need a rest, and 3rd-4th place in the Numpty Cup is a total joke

Maguire looked solid today...Not having Stones and Walker (for most of the game) around makes a difference

England vs Switzerland.

What am I watching? What is the meaning of this match?

What's the point of 3rd place game in Nation League indeed. It would make more sense to have bronze medals in Champions League, not to mention Euro...

Is Mbabu being linked to any big club? He looks great

Wasn't the guy at Newcastle a year or two back?

Just seen Swiss have made 4 subs. Surely with Kane off you bring Rashford on otherwise England look short of penalty takers.

Rashford is injured isn't he?

Fair enough, just seen his name listed on the bench so assumed he was an option.

Who's five takers for England?

Sterling
Wilson
Sancho
Alli
Dier

Would be my guess although Maguire seems the sort to me who'd take a composed penalty so can see him stepping up.

Not quite as nerve jangling as Colombia match!

Remember he was massively rated a few years back, had a good season for Nuremburg in Bundesliga, Leverkusen snapped him up but declined since.

Yeah, he barely got a sniff at Leverkusen and got passed on to Gladbach and has since regressed even further. He's not too bad in Internationals though.
