He was very promising for B team and everyone had great exoectations on him. The coach of the main team didn't like young players and would put him as a leftback (IIRC as a substitute). Monaco asked for the loan and the rest os history.
Ronaldo's game has evolved a lot. He is now more of a team player and it's good to see him use his intelligence more in sync with his team mates. What a superb footballer he is. And from a physical point of view, it does not look like he'll be retiring soon.
The Portuguese are in total control of this match. Van de Beek coming in is helping the Dutch move the ball forward, but other than that, they're struggling to create chances. The Dutch are in dire need of a playmaker to create chances for them. Neither Blind nor Dumfries have created enough chances for the Dutch, and the front 3 have struggled to hold onto the ball to really be a threat.
