Cop in America doing a bad job, again

@Dante - I do my best.

In all seriousness, in case a video on this topic is posted in the future, police have the right to search your vehicle under the following circumstances:

  1. You have given the officer consent
  2. The officer has probable cause to believe there is evidence of a crime in your vehicle
  3. The officer reasonably believes a search is necessary for their own protection (a hidden weapon, for example)
  4. You have been arrested and the search is related to that arrest (such as a search for illegal drugs)

1. I'm not stepping out of shit when all my papers are legit
2. Not if he's solely judging my age, race and because my hat's low
3. I don't have to pass the Bar to know a little bit
4. I won't let anyone illegally search my shit

It’s not illegal if he suspects you’re hiding a weapon in your locked glove compartment [insert shrugging shoulders emoji here]

Does he have to have grounds for suspicion? How would he prove those grounds in court? Surely cops could just say they have a "hunch" and get away with it, when really it's racial profiling.

the reason they have body cams is because people protested enough to make it untenable that they don't, and bodycam footage routinely goes missing and/or doesn't exist in the first place because cops are still allowed to game the system with impunity

I’d love to watch LivePD with you.

@Dante - I’m interested to know what place has a speed limit of 54.
I dunno. Brooklyn, probably?

Anyway. This is a serious thread so I'm gonna drop it now.

But thanks for your help. I've got a lot of problems in my life and your advice has helped reduce the number. Only another 98 to go.

The feck is Brooklyn smoking? I’ve never seen a speed limit that’s not divisible by 5.

54 refers to the model year of vehicle he's driving.

I'd love to see the stats as to the profile of people against whom the cops choose to exercise those rights.

Trump has the audacity to go off on the Mayor of London because of the recent crimes in London yet I read somewhere that US cops have killed more people in ONE month than UK cops have killed in a couple of decades.
