Of course not, we have been trading with our European neighbours for centuries and will continue to do so, I was simply making the point that many on this thread talk as if ALL trade will cease and the UK will sail off into the North Atlantic.

That's not what No Deal means. No Deal means that standard international agreements will be applied, for example standard WTO rules.

No it's no deal because of the absence of bilateral deal between the UK and the EU and it's also not the same rules than in 1975, current rules are GATT 1994.

Seeing as this is a football forum, is it safe to say that a no deal Brexit will significantly weaken the PL? Pound will go down even further, TV deals will go down if Sky and BT lose subscribers etc. It'll become harder to get European players in.

Tbf watching a re-run of episode one for over three years is bit ott. Bear in mind we’re talking about a potential threat the EU could pose if they wish to, and this is something that certainly hasn’t happened before. We’re not talking about a few extra delays, we’re talking about their ability to deliberately cause massive delays if they wish. Ships and planes wouldn’t help, our entire supply system is built around our ability to bring in goods via trucks just in time for usage.

I’m not saying Britain would starve, but there would be huge disruption and shortages, and the British public are in no way prepared for that, or willing to suffer through it.

I can see your point. It could get toxic very quickly given how quickly news gets to the masses.

Lets hope common sense prevails.

Yeah Corbyn will never win them over but as you said could be something of a possible win for the libs. If there is a election soon I don't it going to be as easy as some are suggesting for the tories(One guy on news night was confidence in the tories winning as massive majority)

They love bringing up fishing. Crazy how passionate about it they are and obviously always have been.

We can go and earn a living and provide for our families again instead of surviving off government handouts by fishing in our own waters and not being stuck in dock because we’re not allowed otherwise we upset the other Eu partners as they fish there then sell it back to us..... Maybe just maybe we’ll all get a little self respect back by standing on our own two feet.
