They are squad players, but the issue is there isn't any other players ready to take their position. Quality isn't good.

I like to think I’m generally quite fair with my player ratings on here and today I gave Pereira a 1/10.

It will get forgotten about but that has to be up there with some of the worst individual performances I’ve seen from a United player. Lost his duels, showed no positional awareness when receiving the ball, sloppy passing, no real involvement in set plays despite being a specialist. It was painful to watch.

If he had managed to offer any real threat in that first half we probably would have scored another.

I hope he can move on from this one and offer a lot more than he showed today for the rest of this season.

Wasn't a big fan of his when he was playing for our youth teams despite the hype. He impressed me at Granada, but then watching him for Valencia I was left underwhelmed again.

In my opinion, neither should be near the first team.

Had a lot of hope for this guy a couple of years ago, but sadly it seems that he is not cut out to play in the Prem. He could be better in a more central role, but he looks as though the Spanish league is suited more to his style of play. I would love to see him start a game in CM, and totally dominate the game, but I think I might be clutching at straws a bit. But as long as he is a United player, I will support him.

Pereira is Brighton standard. Like Mata. Like Lingard. These are not top players, these are relatively good players playing above their means. It's not on Andreas. Like its not on Juan or Jesse. It's on this football club for considering them adequate to get us results.
