I watched the Palace game twice trying to find out how Martial got injured. He set up Jamess goal, went to celebrate and then when Palace restarted Martial was on the wing with his hands on his knees and basically stayed there the last 5 minutes Very rarely seen anyone get a thigh strain (is that what it is?) from celebrating a goal.
Pogba a bit of the same. Watched the Southampton game and he seemed fine, then he was seen limping onto the coach. I've sprained my ankle more than once and I can tell you it doesn't take 2 hours to decide that it hurts. Same as against Rochdale. No problems on the pitch, came off as normal now another ankle injury?
I'm not saying they're faking injuries but I would say they're the biggest bottlers since Kevin Keegans Newcastle. Mentally weak, that when things aren't going as planned they just dissappear like a puff of smoke. It may be a low blow but I'd put them on the same level as Ozil.
I suppose I can't talk. I've been on paid leave for 2 months now with a knee injury. I could probably go back tomorrow but I'll probably prolong it another month because being quite honest I enjoy getting paid doing nothing

What makes you think it was Ole’s decision to sell Lukaku and not replace him. I can remember Ole explicitly saying we could use Lukaku at the club and that we would obviously replace him if he went. I’ll see if I can find the direct quetes, but I expect many saw them.
It’s pretty clear it was someone else who botched that job, and there really aren’t many candidates to chose from when guessing who.

The worst extension of it, is that Fergie "knew" his team were "finished", so quickly disappeared.
He must be quite disappointed that Jones, Smalling, Evans didn't progress how you'd have thought, and plenty of other situations like that across the line.
Moyes mis-using players, ignoring Van Persie had a specialist training scheme to keep him fit etc.

I agree. Instead, the combination of Moyes ripping up the backroom and then LVG coming in and selling proven winners and replacing them with absolute dross could not have been worse if we had tried.
How we could actually have done worse in the last 6 years would be an interesting take on the done to death threads we've seen.

If I recall, Mourinho was practically begging for the job in SAF's final year as manager.
Jose was still highly thought of back then, appointing him as SAF's replacement seemed like the only logical choice. Quite how the board came to the conclusion that David Moyes was the better option has baffled the brightest scientific minds ever since.
It was the way the club spun it as him being the "chosen one", and then swiftly playing the revisionist game down the line, making subtle noises that actually he was about 73rd choice, but everyone else was unavailable.
The idea that a team like United had to get out of contract , free transfer managers is shocking.
But we have done it for 3 of the 4 since Fergie, with Ole costing buttons instead.
This would make a great reality show. You have a title winning squad, 800 million spend, and 6 years to achieve nothing. Go!

I'd say it probably all comes back round on Ed again. He's a control freak and he (rightly) probably thought he couldn't control Mou so he took the cowards way out and appointed someone he knew he could control instead of what was actually best for the club. Then when he was basically out of options he really didn't have a choice other than to bring Mou on board.
If Mou had of came in first I actually think he would of towed the line a lot more than people think and had his rebuild done within 3 years. He would of imploded anyway but the club would of been in a lot better place for the next manager. Instead he maybe became bitter about us because his ego doesn't like being ignored and he came into the job half hearted and a screw you attitude towards Ed. And here we are today.
He has been hung out to dry.

The Pogba situation. I don't know what he was promised in terms of squad strengthening by the board when he signed. But looking at what we have now, he cant be blamed for wanting out.

I'm tempted to think, the 'Temp manager' situation includes the current season.
I don’t believe anyone here actually dislikes him, surely not people who were around for the treble season, I will always love Ole and be grateful for what he did here as a player regardless of his tenure as a manager here.
I criticize him on his managerial and coaching abilities alone, but I could never have ill feelings towards him.
Lingard upfront, James on the left with Peirara on the right. Matic, Mata and Scott in the midfield. Defense and goalkeeper picks itself. No youngsters needed.

The snails pace this rebuild is being allowed is criminal.
We get 2 transfer windows a season & part of Woodward’s role should be recruitment. Waiting until each transfer window to negotiate is exactly where our problems lay.
This isn’t a dig at your point, I think you make valid ones but 3 windows to sign 6 first team players [could be 5 or 7 in my mind, the number isn’t the issue] is surely malpractice.
We aren’t trying to integrate players into a great squad with great character; the squad could actually do with a large shake up.
We must demand more from club & manager; clubs like Citeh stumble their way into 2/3 signings a summer & their squad is so far ahead of ours. Juve in Italy are working on Free Transfers years ahead. The list goes on.
Woodward's too busy handling our next commercial deal to work on transfers during the season.
Don't worry, he'll have plenty of time once the sponsors start drying up when we're perpetually stuck in mid table by the end of this season. Maybe he'll what he needs to do by the end of next season.
Talk about an investment opportunity. Greizman (sp?) has something like a 700 million release clause in his new contract. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ed has nightmares about this.
