He doesn't seem to be fully fit. Hopefully we don't force him to play, just because we are much crappier without him.Is Pogba out or could make the game?
He said Pogba is a doubt. And what's the use of saying someone will play if he won't.Can someone tell Ole that a match day news conference is not a court case "I shall give the truth and nothing but the truth"
Why can't he say i hope certain players will be back for Monday or that it's too soon to know yet. Coming out and saying the likes of Rashford,Pogba,Martial won't be playing is only giving confidence to Arsenal. Good news that Shaw is likely back which means no Young starting (fingers crossed)
If Ole had taken over that squad, keeping the backroom team in place there's no doubt we'd be in a far better position now. What is most irritating to me, is the revisionism that seems to increase year on year out, on the squad Fergie left.
In a few years it'll have morphed into relegation level.
Moyes at least had the results working for him, what does this guy have?
It's the same every season with him.
He'll get a seemingly minor niggle, that may rule him out a game or two - back next game.
Then before you know it, he's been out for 6-7 games.
The "bastads" amongst us will always start to worry if maybe he just doesn't "fancy it" unless 100%.
Still, Greenwood's time for the fantasy footy starting lineup then!
We literally have no one else upfront and he still needs to think if Mason is ready?
Mason would have been better prepared for this opportunity if he hadn't been taking the piss in subbing him from the 85th mins onwards when we're chasing the fecking game.
Literally just play the kids, some of the older players don't deserve any single second on the pitch for us at all. Prove you're not all talk Ole.

No being funny Ole but you made your bed of selling Lukaku because of Greenwood and his development so you cant not play him now we're down to the bare bones
100% this. Also think he has a bit of Frodo in himTbf he doesn't look like Gollum. He looks like Andy Serkis, who played Gollum
Who?What about Lingard! Does no one care!?
So it goes, people have a narrative and find their justifications to support that narrative, not the other way around. Gets worse the more worked up we are as well.
Frontal lobes are a rarity on this forum, it seems.

Moyes was fecking king! His Spanish suave speak is better also. Moyes legendo!

I agree. Instead, the combination of Moyes ripping up the backroom and then LVG coming in and selling proven winners and replacing them with absolute dross could not have been worse if we had tried.I'll always believe Mourinho straight after Fergie was the perfect choice.
Alas, by the time we got him, he'd become a right old crank, and was on the severe way down. Plus handicapped by our ludicrous regime, and against Pep, who is still at his peak.

Why, just why?!
Breaking into Spanish totally pointlessly while speaking the rest in English!?

If I recall, Mourinho was practically begging for the job in SAF's final year as manager.
Jose was still highly thought of back then, appointing him as SAF's replacement seemed like the only logical choice. Quite how the board came to the conclusion that David Moyes was the better option has baffled the brightest scientific minds ever since.
How we could actually have done worse in the last 6 years would be an interesting take on the done to death threads we've seen.
We did win 3 trophies along the way. We could easily not have won those I suppose.
Not come 2nd, etc.
It could actually have been a fair bit worse.
This would make a great reality show. You have a title winning squad, 800 million spend, and 6 years to achieve nothing. Go!
God bless Ole, can’t ever dislike the man. The job may be too big for him, but can never question he’s a quality person!!!
Let the opposition know nothing, keep them guessing. God i miss Fergie's "mind games" in these press conferences...He said Pogba is a doubt. And what's the use of saying someone will play if he won't.
"I've seen them play , erm, dos tres times"Why, just why?!

I don’t believe anyone here actually dislikes him, surely not people who were around for the treble season, I will always love Ole and be grateful for what he did here as a player regardless of his tenure as a manager here.God bless Ole, can’t ever dislike the man. Imagine if he doesn't start Greenwood with both Martial and Rashford out.
It'd be mind boggling.
What else could we actually do?! Genuinely not sure. An out of form Lingard!? Surely not.
We can't even put James up front, as we then only have teen wingers to come in there!?
Lingard upfront, James on the left with Peirara on the right. Matic, Mata and Scott in the midfield. Defense and goalkeeper picks itself. No youngsters needed.
I genuinely believe he'll do this. We'll basically just turtle up and hit them on the counter.
If we need 5/6 players why do we need 3 windows?I don't interpret his quotes the way you do so I guess we are just going around in circles here. I do see the system in place and it worked well in pre season and our first two games but injuries have hit and no system is going to make bad players look good. Klopp and Pep have great systems in place and can rotate with minimal disruption but they did not get there overnight, they both had lousy results and horrible performances at times in their first 18 months until they got close to having a squad capable of doing what they wanted. We don't even have 11 players in the first team who are up to the task, let alone a squad. We need 2 or 3 more windows and 6 players at least regardless of who is managing us, you cannot commit to a complete teardown of the squad and then panic 6 games into the season.
Woodward's too busy handling our next commercial deal to work on transfers during the season. If we need 5/6 players why do we need 3 windows?
The snails pace this rebuild is being allowed is criminal.
We get 2 transfer windows a season & part of Woodward’s role should be recruitment. Waiting until each transfer window to negotiate is exactly where our problems lay.
This isn’t a dig at your point, I think you make valid ones but 3 windows to sign 6 first team players [could be 5 or 7 in my mind, the number isn’t the issue] is surely malpractice.
We aren’t trying to integrate players into a great squad with great character; the squad could actually do with a large shake up.
We must demand more from club & manager; clubs like Citeh stumble their way into 2/3 signings a summer & their squad is so far ahead of ours. Juve in Italy are working on Free Transfers years ahead. The list goes on.
If only we knew how things would pan out - not least how fees would absolutely go to the stratosphere.
Imagine stocking up on the best prospects before they became 50m min!
God bless Ole, can’t ever dislike the man. The job may be too big for him, but can never question he’s a quality person!!!
We don't need a quality person.
We need a winner.
Is Ole a winner...
