Life has learned me that sometimes bad people can do good things and good people can do bad things. Whoever who claims to be behind our future success don’t change my view of politics and religion. If the Saudis take this step and buy United then the English and the western world media will cover their regime more closely. In my books that’s a good thing and maybe it will change them to become more modern and tolerant. Transparency often speed up the process.
To answer your question. I will not change the channel and I will not clap my hand. At that moment I probably visit the Redcafe and write some shit about nothing and everything.
Yea, I'm with you on this one. I'm by no means giddy over the sale. Heck, I just want the current idiot owners to put in the correct structure/people in positions on the footballing side. Also, I want them to invest in OT and Carrington. But the past has shown they are not going to do this.
Like you say, the purchase of United will shine more of a light on their political affairs. What they may underestimate is the press we get globally. Not many know Saudi owns Sheffield United. City and PSG get nowhere near as much press as us. So if PIF, or whoever, buy United, they need to understand that the countries political dealings will get amplified.
